Sometimes a small coin randomly incoming shed light on historical data which is never seen in numerous historical books. Coins which are very important as historical materials are also the symbol of nationalization process for societies because pressing a coin is the symbol of reign both for the past and the present. A lot of elements such as political status of an established state, its economic situation, reign area, reign duration, interaction with other states and even its conception and level of art and aesthetics are among the valuable data gathered from coins. In this study, Warren C. Schaultz describes 47 coins preserved in the Oriental Institute Museum of the University of Chicago dating from the Ayyubid(1174-1250) and Mamluk (1250-1517) regimes of Egypt and Syria. Moreover, he referred to the similar ones in Paul Balog’s catalogue who has done extensive research on Ayyubids’ and Mamluks’ history.

For this volume, the first in the series to touch upon a topic related to the Middle East, Madden has gathered together twelve previously published articles from the "bountiful harvest of modern crusade scholarship" (p. 12). In his frank introduction, which some may find provocative, Madden not only provides a deft and succinct overview of evolving historiographical currents in Crusade studies, but also addresses head-on the gap between that scholarship and the popular images of the Crusades so current in Europe and the United States. That gap, of course, is a major reason for a book such as this, for it is Madden's hope that bringing the fruits of recent scholarship to a general audience may counteract the "overly simplistic" views of the Crusades found among "novelists, journalists and television producers." I have no doubt that these 12 pages will, at the very least, cause readers to reexamine "what they think they know" about the Crusades (p. 12).

A scholar of South Asian and Islamic history, Professor Kozlowski was an international authority on Muslim philanthropic endowments in both British India and modern Pakistan and India, an innovator in teaching the history of world civilizations, and a public figure speaking to the greater Chicago community on South Asian and Middle Eastern geopolitics and cultural relations. After completing his B.A. in Theology at Loyola University of Chicago in 1970, he began to cultivate a lifelong interest in the Muslim world, pursuing first an M.A. in the History of Religions at the University of Iowa (1975), and then an M.A. (1978) and a Ph.D. in History at the University of Minnesota, awarded in 1980. His dissertation was subsequently published as Muslim Endowments and Society in British India (Cambridge University Press, 1985). His learning and expertise were as vast as his wit and conversation. Along with his concentration in the Utdu language, Gregory studied Persian, Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Turkish. In his scholarship and teaching, he linked European philosophy and Christian theology with Muslim philosophy and theology, British colonial law with Muslim law, and English social and political history with that of South Asia and the Middle East. This bteadth of learning informed his nearly one hundred published articles, conference papers, and encyclopedia and reference book entriesas well as his textbook, The Concise History of Islam and the Rise of Its Empires (Copley Press, 1991, 2000), and his unfinished book manuscript, "Muslim Philanthropy in the Modern World." He was a frequent guest on "Chicago Tonight," the Chicago Public Television (WTTW) program of news and current affairs, and a frequent interviewee on a number of radio news and commentary programs, consulted for his expertise on conditions in Pakistan, India, and the Muslim world. In his public lectures to civic groups and community colleges, and during his twenty-two years of teaching at DePaul University, he fascinated audiences with his experiences, his insight, his stories, and the occasional ribald joke. Apart from these public performances, Gregory was a charming and eloquent epistolean, deeply rooted in the beauties of language and expression. His unexpected death leaves a void in the public life of Chicago and in the lives of his devoted students and friends, his colleagues, and family. The halls no longer resonate with his presence.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between vaccination status and laboratory serology test results of IgM measles. The research design used case control, data obtained from secondary data from C1 sheet 2016 Cirebon regency. Samples in this study were 60 positive IgM cases and 34 negative IgM controls that had met inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument uses a document sheet of secondary data of individual measles cases with documentation techniques in data collection. Data analysis using chi square test. Measles vaccination status was not related to serological laboratory test results of IgM (p value = 0.161, OR = 2.124; 95% CI = 0.849-5.315). There was no association between measles vaccination status and serologic laboratory serology test result.
