Getting here

The Detroit Opera House is located at 1526 Broadway Street, with entry doors on both Broadway Street and Madison Avenue. We are located just one block from the People Mover and two blocks from the Q Line.

The Detroit Opera House Parking Center is located at 1426 Broadway Street, with entrances on John R. Street and E. Grand River Avenue.

Event Parking

Prepaid parking in the Parking Center is available for Detroit Opera subscribers only. All other parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates are variable depending on factors such as demand, other events in the area, etc. We can only accept credit cards and are unable to accept cash.

Visiting Shows Parking

Guests attending a performance of a visiting show (such as Moulin Rouge, comedy shows, etc.) can purchase parking in advance through ParkWhiz. Guests can enter “Detroit Opera House” in the search bar.

Security

The safety of our employees, our guests, and all those who use our facilities is of the utmost importance to us at Detroit Opera. Our parking center has dedicated 24-hour on-site security and surveillance whose first priority is the safety of all our patrons. If you ever have concerns for your safety in one of our facilities or in getting to or from your car, please contact our security staff at 313.965.4849 for assistance.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available to DiChiera Society members on the Madison Street side of the Opera House prior to most opera and dance performances.
