The mass loss method's results demonstrated that raising the DFE concentration improved the efficiency of the inhibition. The maximum inhibition efficiency was 99.40% at 2.0 g/L of DFE. In the temperature ranging from 303 to 333 K, the effect of temperature on the corrosion behavior while adding DFE was also investigated. A DFE extract had been adsorbed on the surface of the metal by Langmuir adsorption isotherm models. It was established that the DFE's activation parameters and negative Gibb's free energy show that rates of adsorption have been spontaneous. According to polarization analysis, DFE regulates both the cathodic and the anodic response. Images obtained using a SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) reveal that the DFE reduces surface damage. The adsorption inhibition mechanism is supported by the AFM analysis findings. FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared) spectroscopy has been utilized to ascertain the functional group of the DFE. All of the applicable approaches' experimental findings are in good agreement.

The inhibition efficiency depended on the concentration and type of the piperazines. The inhibition efficiency ranged between 90 and 94 % at the highest concentration (25 mM), and between 44 and 62% at the lowest concentration (5 mM) of inhibitor in 1 M HCl solution. Inhibition efficiency decreased with rise in temperature, this corresponded to surface coverage of the metal by the inhibitor. Potentiodynamic polarization measurements have been carried out at room temperature, which clearly reveal the fact that all investigated inhibitors are of mixed type and they inhibit corrosion of mild steel by blocking the active sites of the metal surface. The results also showed that, the inhibitors were adsorbed on the mild steel surface according to Langmuir adsorption isotherm.

The newly synthesized ligand and its metal(II) complexes with first transition metal series (Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II) and Mn(II)) have been synthesized and characterized by using elemental analysis, infrared and electronic spectra. The IR spectra, NMR spectra and atomic absorption analysis show that the benzotriazole ligand formed chelates with metal in a 2:1 (ligand:metal) stochiometry. All the metal(II) complexes were screened for their antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Among the synthesized metal(II) complexes, Cu(II) complex showed the highest antibacterial activity.

We are reporting here the synthesis and in-vitro anti-inflammatory evaluation of a series of pyrrolidinone derivatives. A series of new 5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid derivatives were synthesized from the reaction of 2-(5-((5benzoyl-1H-benzo[d][1,2,3] triazol-1-yl) methyl)-2-thioxo-1,3,4-oxadiazol-3(2H)-yl) acetohydrazide with aromatic aldehydes and succinic anhydride reaction. Anti-inflammatory activity of all the compounds was screened against MMP-2 and MMP-9, all results are excellent, 3d, 3e, and 3f compounds are quite promising against matrix metalloproteins (MMPs). All the isolated compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, 1 HNMR, 13 CNMR, and mass spectral analysis.

Gravimetric and galvanostatic polarization methods were used to investigate the effect of aluminum corrosion in HCl solutions. The outcome revealed that maximum inhibitor efficiency which corresponds to the lowest corrosion rate was obtained at most favorable inhibitor concentration of 1.25% with reduction in the corrosion rate observed to follow in order of increasing extract concentration. The adsorption study promote that Langmuir isotherm best described the metal surface interaction with the Azardirachta indica (Neem) leaves ark’s with the best exposure time for the Azardirachta indica (Neem) leaves ark’s to adsorb to the metal surface at all concentrations. Polarization study reveals that the inhibitors functions as a mixed inhibitor.

In an effort for the development of novel antimicrobial, antimalarial and antitubercular agents, ... more In an effort for the development of novel antimicrobial, antimalarial and antitubercular agents, series of quinoline carboxylic acid derivatives bearing substituted pyrazole moiety were synthesized from derivatives of substituted pyrazole aldehydes, substituted aniline and pyruvic acid, through a one-pot Doebner reaction. Then the Carboxylic group was converted to an acyl chloride, N-(3-(dimethylamino) propyl) carboxamide, and alcohol functional groups. All the compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, MS, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR spectroscopy and were screened against bacterial strains. Majority of these compounds showed potent antibacterial and antifungal activities against the tested strains of bacteria and fungi. Compounds were also screened for antitubercular and antimalarial activities. Quinoline-Pyrazole clubbed derivative showed better results when compared with the reference drugs based on their MIC values. Thus, these studies suggest that quinoline derivatives bearing pyrazole moiety are interesting scaffolds for the development of novel antimicrobial, antimalarial, and antimycobacterial agents.

International Journal of Current Research in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2016

The inhibition efficiency depended on the concentration and type of the benzofurans. The inhibition efficiency ranged between 75 and 85 % at the highest concentration (25 mM), and between 35 and 40 % at the lowest concentration (5 mM) of inhibitor in 1 M HCl solution.

Hydrazones/azomethines/imines possess -NHN=CH- and constitute an important class of compounds for new drug development. We have undertaken a library synthesis of (1H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazole-5-yl)(phenyl) methanone clubbed 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives bearing substituted hydrazone moiety were synthesized. We have synthesized a collection of 14 compounds and characterized by elemental analysis, MS, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectral data and were screened, against the anticancer and antituberculosis activity. Where the majority of these compounds showed good anticancer and antitubercular activities against the tested strains of M. tuberculosis H37Rv and lung NCI H-522, ovary PA-1, liver Hep G2 compared with the reference drugs. Compounds 5d, 5e, 5g, and 5n showed excellent potency against M. tuberculosis H37Rv strain compares to standard drugs whereas, against lung NCI H-52...
