So the friending meme post has over 200 comments and people keep joining it. I went through to make sure I had friended everyone who had posted there, and ended up making a summary of everyone so I could check more easily. Then I thought, hey, that list might be useful to other folks, too. So here you go, alphabetized. Hover over each userhead to see the useful little window that shows whether you have friended each person yet or not! :-)

After the Old Lady Smut Brigade panel on Friday, several attendees asked us for a list of the Old Lady Fics we quoted.

Here's the full list with a few suggestions for further reading. Who said, “Missionary Zeal”? I heard that! And since you mention it, most of our old lady fics are considerably more inventive than boring old missionary. These stories are mostly R/NC17.

You'll have to all forgive the bad editing, I was using a program I've never before tried so it's not the best but I hope it gives everyone fond memories. As I said on the youtube description, if anyone is unhappy with it I will of course take it down.

DiaCon Friending Meme

Here's where you can reconnect with all the new friends you made over the weekend. Just post a bit about yourself, remind people of your name(s), share your fannish interests, etc... Anything you want really. :D

First off, I hope everyone has a great time at the con! Really gutted that I can't make it :(

Which brings me to the point of this post: Are there any London-based fans and/or any International fans staying in the capital for a day or so after the Con, who'd be up for a Pub-Meet on the Monday? From experience, I know that the Post-con Blues can set in very quickly, and a side-meet serves as a nice way to cushion the comedown.

The venue I propose is The London Stone, which is the last remaining sibling of Snape's Pub (favoured t00b venue). It has the decor you'd expect, and the infamous Seven Deadly Sins cocktails :)

Provisional kick-off would be around 5pm, to give us a chance to nab seats.

Anybody interested?

EDIT: Seems like there's enough interest, now. So, we're on! 5pm at the London Stone, and you can all tell me how awesome the con was...

We've just released our DiaCon Alley app at http://www.diacon-alley.co.uk/app/ !

It has the full programme of events for the con and should work with most smartphones, tablets and laptops. And for those of you who won't have any internet, it even works offline! Just visit the app once when you do have an internet connection and it will automatically save it and load the next time you visit, even if you've got no signal.

If you have an iPhone you can add it to your home screen by tapping the button in the middle of the bottom menu bar in Safari and then selecting "Add to Home Screen".

Only a few days to go before we will be seeing all of you in Canterbury!

But before we do, here is some final information.

Day memberships will be available at DiaCon Alley. The rates will be:

£60 for whole con, not including cinema trip, if you arrive on Thursday
£10 for Thursday
£20 for Friday (this does not include the cinema trip)
£25 for Saturday
£15 for Sunday

The opening times for the Registration desk, to pick up your membership or to buy your day memberships, will be:

Thursday 16:00-21:00
Friday 10:00-18:00
Saturday 10:00-18:00
Sunday 10:00-13:00

For those of you who booked accommodation:

Standard Rooms are in Rutherford College
En Suite Rooms are in Tyler Court
Linen and Towels are provided with all the rooms
Breakfast for all people will be in the Rutherford College Dining Hall

If you have ordered a Parking Permit you will have already received it by email.
These will need to be printed out beforehand. We will try to have some available on the desk, but we cannot guarantee that we will have
enough there for everyone who needs one.
If you have not received a Parking Permit and believe you should have please contact us asap.

We can no longer do accommodation transfers.
We can do Ball ticket transfers, but please be aware that the menu for the ticket can not be changed.
We can still do membership transfers but the person receiving the membership will need to already have their membership number.

Current Music: Can You Dance Like A Hippogriff?

Hello! If anyone wants any information about Canterbury - where Kent University campus is compared to train stations, which pubs have wifi, which are nice places to go... etc etc - please do ask on this post. I've lived in and around the city all my life, and I am happy to share my expertise on the place if anyone wants it :)

So my flight doesn't leave until Monday morning, just wondering if anyone has a room I can stay in Sunday night. Would be willing to split the cost, obviously, and I am super nice! 22, slasher, from California, but currently studying in Berlin...let me know!

Also, anyone traveling back to London early Monday morning? My flight leaves at 6:40.

Getting so excited!! Can't wait to see everyone!

EDIT!!: so the general consensus seems to be head back to london on sunday and stay there, soooo...does anyone have any extra space in london? again, willing to split the cost. thanks!

Just a very fast, last reminder that any Snape/Sirius or Snape/Remus fans attending DiaCon will want to get over to diacon_snack and/or diacon_snupin and make your presence known quickly!
