DiEM25 has an active presence both in online spaces and in the streets through numerous campaigns and initiatives.

Yes, we have good policies. And yes, we have our **MERA25**s. But no, DiEM25 is neither a think-tank, nor just another political party. Above all, we are a bold grassroots movement.

Therefore, we are looking to, as we usually do, put our money where our mouth is. Our organisation is more and more present on the streets, in various actions such as civil disobedience, performative actions, leafleting, pressure campaigns and many more ways in which we can challenge the oligarchy.

We can’t do this alone, however. We need your involvement. We want like-minded people to join us on the ground and to help us build these actions accordingly. Below you can see the current projects and campaigns.

Endorse the BDS Movement

BDS, initiated by Palestinian civil society, is a peaceful, collective effort to achieve justice. It calls for boycotts and divestments from entities complicit in land theft, apartheid, and oppression, ensuring accountability for those violating human rights and international law.

End the siege on Gaza

The Palestinian people have been subjected to apartheid, military occupation, dehumanisation and genocide. We demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the Israeli occupation.

Suspend Israel from sports

We demand an immediate suspension of Israel from participation in all international sports until it fully complies with international law and sports regulations.

The Green New Deal for Europe

We will unite Europe’s communities, unions, parties and activists for a swift, just and democratic transition to a sustainable Europe.

Ursula von der Leyen, resign!

The European Commission President has violated moral principles and EU rules by encouraging the siege and bombardment of Gaza. We demand her immediate resignation.

Call for realistic peace

International Day of Peace requires a ceasefire in all wars, diplomacy to end existing conflicts and prevent others simmering, while eliminating the war industry.

Free Julian Assange

Freedom of speech is just an empty phrase without the freedom of Assange. We urge the US Department of Justice to drop the charges against him.

Debt for climate

DiEM25 is a part of the DC coalition, the global grassroots movement initiated and led by the Global South to cancel financial debt in order to enable a self-determined and just transition.

Make Amazon Pay

Together with the Progressive International, we are working to make Amazon – one of the most powerful corporations in history – pay its dues for social and environmental damage.

Stop trade with settlements

While wars rage, the EU still allows trade with settlements in occupied territories. This makes their existence not only viable, but economically profitable. We must end this hypocrisy.
