Hello LLVMers,

I am writing to update you on LLVM 19.1.8 that is supposed to be released tomorrow.

I have triaged the issue queue and talked to maintainers about the open issue and ss of right now there is only one fix that’s ready to be merged to LLVM 19 and it’s a minor issue in clang-format - release/19.x: [clang-format] Correctly annotate braces in macro definitions (#123279) by llvmbot · Pull Request #123439 · llvm/llvm-project · GitHub

I don’t think this warrants a new release so I will hold off doing a new release tomorrow.

I will keep monitoring the LLVM 19.x milestone to see if there is any new issues / fixes that shows up. Feel free to reach out to me directly here at discourse or discord if you know about a critical issue we should fix in LLVM 19.x.

LLVM 20 release should soon start with @tstellar at the helm.

Thanks
Tobias
