LLVM Dev Meeting CIRCT Meetup? (original) (raw)

I remember there was some talk in an ODM a couple of weeks back of planning a bay area CIRCT meetup to coincide with the LLVM Dev Meeting next week. Are there any plans for this? Would be great to take advantage of the rare opportunity to see US folks face to face!

I’ll be there! It would be great to meet up. If people speak up on this thread we can find a good day / time / location.

In '22 I remember we had a meetup the same night as the reception, which was a shame as I think a couple of people prioritised the reception. This year the reception is the 23rd, so I propose 24th or maybe 22nd if people are around for the MLIR workshop etc. on that day.

I’ll be there… would love to catch up!

Good point about avoiding conflict with the official reception. I’m going to be at the MLIR workshop, and meeting up after that makes sense to me. Personally, any evening Monday-Thursday would work for me.

I’ll be getting in pretty late on Monday but I’ll also be at the MLIR workshop, so Tuesday/Thursday would be preferred on my end.

Actually it looks like there is another event Tuesday 10/22 that I will try to go to. I could make both work Tuesday but I have a slight preference for Thursday if that’s open for everyone.

Sounds like Thursday then! I’ll leave the location to someone who knows the area(/country) better than me

would also be interested in joining!

There are a few places in the vicinity that might be nice:

• Laughing Monk
• Off the Rails Brewing Co.
• Fuego
• Paul & Harvey’s

@mikeurbach might know a few other places from prior visits

There’s also downtown Mountain View which is pretty nice, but it’s also a 15-20min drive from the venue.

Thanks Fabian. I am not an expert in this part of the bay area, but I remember Laughing Monk was a favorite from back when it was Faultline. That would work for me, but the other options look good too.

Alright, we have a concrete plan. Laughing Monk had some large groups tonight, so instead we’re going with the Murphy Ave option, where there’s more choices.
