MLIR Area Team Meeting / Office Hours (original) (raw)
April 22, 2025, 12:52pm 1
This Thursday, April 24, we will hold an MLIR Area Team meeting that is open to the public. The meeting starts with the Area Team members discussing project related agenda points before taking questions from the public on any MLIR-related topic.
The current Area Team agenda items include:
- ensuring progress and identifying consensus on RFCs;
- nominating maintainers, in particular for bug triage;
- rules of engagement for the Area Team.
If you would like us to discuss a particular topic within the Area Team before we open to the public, please reply to this post or let us know through other channels.
The call starts at 9am PDT, 4pm UTC, 6pm CEST.
Meeting ID: 851 5109 0498
Passcode: 828404
What is the plan for people who can’t attend live meeting to be included in the discussion?
For other kind of project change, Discourse and the RFC is the reference for what “sticks”: are you gonna ensure that the kind of items you mention here are still following the usual channel (that is: Discourse) as well?

For the area team discussion, folks are welcome to propose agenda items to us. The discussion itself is public to observe, but not necessarily to participate. Normally, the meeting is recorded (though admittedly I don’t know who gets notified of the recording), and we will publish meeting minutes.
Discourse remains the main channel for technical discussion. How specifically the area team will engage in discussions that are contentious or stalled is exactly the point we need to discuss among the team.
Hi Alex, where can I subscribe to get notifications? Thank you.

Discourse, the platform we are using for these forums, has various notification methods. You can find them in your user preferences.
As far as I can see the last three meetings haven’t been published yet. It would be great for me to have the Inet recording to share. I could get wider feedback and maybe put together an RFC.
Thank you!
