Same issue here, all day today every other prompt is error 503. I am on Tier 1 Paid Plan.

I’ve found similar complaints online dating back to 2024. I’ve been using Gemini for about a year now, and I’ve been getting error 503 constantly.

Same problem all week here. ‘The model is overloaded. Please try again later.’, ‘status’: ‘UNAVAILABLE’}}. NOT EVEN TOUCHED THE RATE LIMIT. How can we trust an API for production like this?

Same problem. Paid Plan. Rate limit not even touched.

I’m getting 503 errors on both paid/free tier.

I’m also getting 429 errors on free tier even when I sent my first query of the day or wait 3-5 minutes between requests. Token count on the request was 48764. Not even close to 50 daily uses.

thank you for the reply yes as you said its most likely because I am on the free tier and it is prioritizing paid users makes sense.

It was a temporary problem because of too much traffic, and should have been fixed now,
Could you please confirm, if you are still facing these issues?
