Description

I drew these quickly... the angles are off on some of things but it goes to show it does not take much to show depth. As long as everything is going in the same general direction it still works to create depth.

Something fun for everybody to try. I actually learned about one point perspective very very early in my life when I watched a Reading Rainbow episode about Trompe-l'œil [link] painting. I've been fascinated by the making of large and realistic paintings that fool the eye, making a flat surface look like it can go on forever.

I had fun drawing city streets and designing buildings. I would draw store fronts and put objects in the window... pet store, fashion store, whatever. I love looking at architecture drawings and other design related art. Everything you are learning has its application in the real world.
