Django Girls

Django Girls is a community, created in Berlin in 2014, founded by women developers with the support of the entire Django community.

But what is Django?

Django is a technology developed with the Python programming language. It allows you to create a web site based on a predefined structure. You will write code on it and will start to become familiar with programming. In technical jargon, Django is an open source framework and during our workshops you will use it to create your own blog.

Programming is for everyone!

We are a community of developers aimed to introduce more diversity in the programming world. We believe that a greater degree of diversity within technological working environments generates positive benefits, a greater exchange of ideas between people, and a stimulating environment to grow in. How can we do all this? With Django Girls workshops!

With our workshop we want to give you the opportunity to find out if programming and becoming a Django Girl really make your heart beat. It’s your choice either growing your passion for technology, or keeping this experience in your memories, as a day spent together with other people you never met, doing something you've never done before.

Django Girls Workshops

Would you like to learn how to build sites but don't know how to start? Do you already know how but want to know other programming languages? We organize a free workshop to teach women how to build a site with Django and Python starting from the basics.

Join us on November 16, 2019 in Rome at Ingegneria Informatica - Università Roma Tre , Via della Vasca Navale, 79, 00146 Roma RM. You'll learn more about programming, meet other motivated women like you, and you’ll build your own site!

This workshop is aimed at beginners and up, and if this is your first time, you don't need to know anything about programming. In order to participate you just have to bring your computer.

Workshops are free and women from any background are invited to participate. You will not be left alone, but assigned to a small group and coordinated by a coach, so as to learn according to your pace.

We are trans-inclusive and we encourage the participation of all women.

What will we do:

The workshop is aimed at both beginners and those who already develop but want to expand their horizons.

As a participant:

• You will participate in the Django Girls workshop for one day (with installation of the tools a few days before) during which you will create your first blog with Django;
• You'll meet people in the industry and learn more about programming;
• You will assist the operations of people who will bring their experience in the programming and the technological sector foreseen during the workshop;
• You will have lunch with us: we will serve all meals during the workshop!
• You will receive our certificate of participation.

Ma cos’è Django?

Django è una tecnologia sviluppata con il linguaggio di programmazione Python che ti permette di creare un sito web sulla base di una struttura predefinita su cui scriverai codice e inizierai ad avvicinarti alla programmazione. Nel gergo tecnico, Django è un framework open source e durante i nostri workshop lo userai per creare il tuo blog.

Siamo una community di sviluppatrici/sviluppatori che sta cercando di introdurre più diversity nel mondo della programmazione. Crediamo che più diversità all’interno degli ambienti di lavoro tecnologici generi benefici positivi, un maggiore interscambio di idee e un ambiente più stimolante in cui crescere. Con il nostro workshop vogliamo darti l'opportunità di capire se programmare e diventare una Django Girl ti faranno realmente battere il cuore. Sarai tu stessa a decidere se coltivare questa passione, o se il workshop resterà soltanto l’esperienza di una giornata passata insieme a sperimentare un’attività che non avevi mai fatto prima.

Ti piacerebbe imparare a costruire siti ma non sai da che parte iniziare? Oppure sviluppi già ma vuoi conoscere altri linguaggi di programmazione? Organizziamo un workshop gratuito per insegnare alle donne come costruire un sito con Django e Python partendo dalle basi.

Unisciti a noi il 16 Novembre 2019 a Roma presso l' aula DS2 del Dipartimento di Ingeneria Informatica di Roma Tre , via della Vasca Navale, 79, 00146 Roma RM, dove imparerai di più sulla programmazione, incontrerai altre donne motivate come te e dove potrai costruire il tuo sito personale.

Questo workshop è rivolto alle principianti, e non ma se fai parte delle prime non occorre che tu sappia nulla di programmazione.Per poter partecipare devi solo portare il tuo computer.

I workshop sono gratuiti e le donne provenienti da qualsiasi background sono invitate a partecipare. Non sarai lasciata da sola, ma assegnata ad un piccolo gruppo e coordinata da un coach, così da apprendere secondo il tuo ritmo.

Siamo trans-inclusive e incoraggiamo la partecipazione di tutte le donne.

Cosa Faremo:

Il workshop è rivolto sia alle principianti sia a chi già sviluppa ma vuole espandere i suoi orizzonti.

In qualità di partecipante:

• Parteciperai al workshop Django Girls di una giornata(con installazione degli strumenti alcuni giorni prima) durante il quale creerai il tuo primo blog con Django;
• Incontrerai persone del settore e imparerai di più sulla programmazione
• Assisterai agli interventi di persone che porteranno la loro esperienza nella programmazione e nel settore tecnologico previsti durante il workshop;
• Pranzerai con noi - serviremo tutti i pasti nel corso del workshop!
• Riceverai il nostro attestato di partecipazione.
