Subsequently, their wellbeing and adjustment were assessed. This study aims to explore the relationship between learners' well-being and adjustment more comprehensively. Employing a correlational quantitative research design, it utilized a researcher-developed questionnaire. Prior consent for questionnaire administration was obtained from the school principal, parents, and learners. Statistical analyses involved mean, standard deviation, and chi-square tests. Results indicate that learners' well-being across physical, affective, cognitive, economic, and social domains ranged from moderate. Emotional adjustment (EA) was found to be slight, while social adjustment (SA) and academic adjustment (AA) were moderate. Significant correlations were observed between physical wellbeing (PW) and EA, PW, and SA, affective well-being (AW) and EA, AW and AA, cognitive well-being (CW) and EA, CW, and SA, economic well-being (EW) and EA, and EW and SA. Based on these findings, the implementation of Project SWAM is recommended.

MDL was the most preferred modality by learners, yet this exposed difficulties in studying Mathematics independently. This study covered 164 Grade 9 learners of Cuenca NHS for the SY 2021-2022, which were randomly sampled. A mixed-method research design was used. A researcher-made questionnaire was administered through Google Forms as the main data-gathering tool. Responses were sorted, tabulated, and summarized using tables. Statistical treatments applied were frequency, mean, standard deviation, and chi-square. It was found that learners have a moderate extent of difficulty in learning resources (LR) and learning support (LS) but a slight extent of difficulty with a learning environment (LE) and learning motivation (LM). Coping mechanisms of learners during MDL include utilizing online sites, maximizing safe and secure spaces around the house, having internal motivation to improve their Mathematical skills, and asking for help from immediate family members. There is a significant relationship between coping mechanisms for LR and LE and difficulties encountered with LR, LE, LM, and LS. In addition, a significant relationship was unearthed between coping mechanisms for LM and difficulties encountered with LR, LM, and LS. However, there was not a significant relationship between coping mechanisms for LM and the difficulties encountered with LE. There is a significant relationship between coping mechanisms for LS and the difficulties encountered with LR, LE, LM, and LS. With these, recommendations are embedded in an action plan that aims to aid the learners in dealing with their difficulties and maximize their coping mechanisms to improve their academic performance further while under MDL. The Department of Education, through DepEd Order No. 12 s. 2020, introduced the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP). This plan includes four learning modalities that learners may adapt depending on their capacity and alert level of www.scholarum.dlsl.edu.ph | 43 Scholarum:Journal of Education by De La Salle Lipa is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. their place. Schools in areas with no COVID-19 cases were allowed to continue with face-to-face learning, while the rest had three other options: modular distance learning (MDL), online distance learning (ODL), and blended learning. Modular distance learning, which maximizes the utilization of modules, is the most preferred modality by learners in the Philippines (Malipot, 2020). Although this modality limits the interaction between teachers and students, it allows the conduct of

This study determined the households' disaster preparedness amidst health crises. Respondents were taken through convenience sampling. Researcher-made questionnaire was used. Data were collected through Google form and underwent frequency, ranking and chi-square. The respondents' disaster-related apparatuses were cellphones with connectivity, television, first aid kits with cotton, medicines, and elastic gauze, LIGTAS bags with flashlights, hygiene kit, and facemask and face shield. Their disaster-response tools were emergency light, whistle, and rope. Their adoption of disaster preparedness practices are almost always true on emergency and disaster awareness (̅ = 3.48); capacity building with drills (̅ = 3.36), and projects and programs (̅ = 3.69); identifying risks (̅ = 3.51); continuity of essential services (̅ = 3.60); partnerships with lgus and ngos (̅ = 3.52); and information, education, and communication (EIC) activities (̅ = 3.52). Demographic profiles have significant relationships on these areas. This study is helpful in policymaking and proposing programs and projects related to households' disaster preparedness.

However, teachers observed that learners have difficulty in this strand. With this, DepEd IV-A Mathematics Department devised a systematic examination known as Numeracy Assessment Tool. This study aimed to identify the effect of the Numeracy Assessment Tool on the learners’ conceptualization of Quadratic Equations. Participants of the study were underachieving Grade 9 learners of Cuenca NHS, which were chosen through Purposive Sampling. The study employed One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The pre-and post-test results underwent various statistical treatments such as Frequency, Mean, and T-test Method to identify the significance of the results. The group underwent eight sessions in which they were taught lessons on Mathematics. Based on the results, it was found that the use of numeracy assessment tool has a significant effect in developing the students’ conceptual understanding of quadratic equations
