The research specifically looked at how research participants from these selected schools define and understand the communication process and purpose in three DRRM phases: disaster preparedness and mitigation, response, and rehabilitation and recovery. Findings show that communication processes are distinctive in the phases of disaster and these processes are affected by inflexible communication system, dated engagement framework, and lack of DRRM training and education. The findings led to the development of a proposed disaster risk communication model for school-initiated DRRM interventions.

This research aimed to develop a tool that can measure the level of ecocentrism. This research employed a descriptive research design, and a survey was used as the primary data gathering method. The ecocentric-driven environmental communication tool has undergone four phases: the development of indicators, generation of reliability evidence, and determination of limitations, and refinement of tool. The tool was administered to 225 fourth-year college students of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), a higher education institution that explicitly integrated ecocentrism in its curriculum. Mean, percentage, and frequency count were used to analyze the socio-demographic and environmental communication. Chi-square Likelihood Ratio was also used to analyze the relationship between environmental communication and ecocentrism. The novel outpu...

Thus, the importance of knowledge creation and sharing practices is magnified nowadays, and is seen as an important aspect in community development that facilitates improved community development programs and projects. An extension office or unit is a micro learning organization within an organization. Its knowledge creation and sharing practices are unique because it works for and with communities and institutions while adhering to the vision-mission, policies, and standards of the higher educational institution it belongs to. The knowledge creation and sharing practices of the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), the extension arm of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas (DLSU-D), was analyzed and caused the creation of a framework that may be used by other higher educational institutions in helping extension offices analyze its own knowledge creation and sharing practices.
