Quantifying Roadway Complexity for AV Freight Deployments (original) (raw)
Abstract
This presentation will discuss identifying economically feasible routes for deploying automated freight vehicles and evaluating the complexity of those roadways within Indiana. The focus for this analysis is the Primary Highway Freight System (PHFS), and “last-mile” routes since they may be required to access the PHFS to and from major concentrations of manufacturing and distribution centers for advanced manufacturing and logistics (AML).
