In this study considering the current situation of the supply system of Air Force Command, where innovations are followed closely, when it comes to select a possible RFID system, determining important constraints a hierarchy based model was composed with the aim of selecting the best RFID system and in this model using the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) an implementation was conducted.

The first set aims to examine the pull system behaviour for the equipment failures and breakdowns whether they occur in upstream or downstream processes. The second experiment set consists of five experiments and aims to investigate the effects of various maintenance policies on the pull system performance. SIMAN language is used for the simulation experiments.

This paper introduces a methodology-developed using Axiomatic Design principles-as a way to achieve a systematic approach in improving the organizational performance. This methodology is also tested and validated via case study.

With the rapid growth of containerisation in world maritime trade, container terminals have under... more With the rapid growth of containerisation in world maritime trade, container terminals have undertaken heavier tasks and more important roles to achieve better service quality and agility in the supply chain. Container terminals operate in a fierce competitive environment of international character. Their rivals are their neighbouring ports/seaport terminals, and/or similar facilities within their hinterlands. To accomplish the competitive advantage in global shipping, port managers have undertaken more effort continuously to improve their terminal productivity. However, to sustain competition in their favour it is also essential for managers to undertake benchmarking with the competing terminals. The aim of this paper is to guide port managers to benchmark their organisational performances with their competitors; thereby making necessary arrangements to use their resources more effectively. In this connection, 10 seaport terminals lyingon the coast of the Sea of Marmara and the Mediterranean rim are taken as decision-making units and data envelopment analysis (DEA) is applied to measure and evaluate their relative performances.

In this study, F-4 fighter jets? elevation command systems malfunctions were analyzed by the help... more In this study, F-4 fighter jets? elevation command systems malfunctions were analyzed by the help of FMEA. The damages that were caused by elevation command systems? failures were described and control steps which could be used before they occurred, were planned. By FMEA results, extension of fighter jets active duty time is aimed without any accident. F-4 fighter jets elevation command system?s failures identified, their results were analyzed, control precautions were explained and the most important failure was determined by Risk Priority Number and suggestions to prevent them were explained. By the help of these suggestions, ability of getting better results is proved. This study has the actual and certain results for the F-4 fighter jet?s elevation command systems in Turkish Air Forces. Phase of analysis is useable and practicable for all F-4 fighter jet?s and their specific systems of aircrafts.

In order to survive the constant changes and developments in the economy, companies must resort t... more In order to survive the constant changes and developments in the economy, companies must resort to alternative structural developments. In this context, organizations must develop programs to support the employees they laid off as well as their remaining workforce to achieve efficiency and profitability. One of these support programs, the Outplacement, is a service that helps employees who lost their jobs to cope with the situation and to find a new job. In addition, the Outplacement program deals with the psychology of the remaining employees in the sense that their jobs may be under threat as well. In general, the Outplacement model concentrates on the career development and the psychological support of the employees. The model encompasses a systematic support. In this study every small detail is analyzed and a conceptual model using Axiomatic Design is developed. The validity of the model is then tested within the Turkish Armed Forces.
