Zusammenfassung
2 Kollektive Wistar-Ratten zu je etwa 100 Tieren erhielten eine Röntgenganzbestrahlung von 270 r, die Tiere einer Gruppe hatten 2 Tage zuvor einen Aderlaß von 2 cm2 erlitten; eine dritte Gruppe blieb unbehandelt. In den bestrahlten Kollektiven wurde eine signifikante Zunahme maligner Tumoren festgestellt. Benigne Neoplasmen waren bei Weibchen in beiden bestrahlten Serien aufgrund sehr häufigen Befalls von Uterus und Mamma stark vermehrt. Sie traten an Männchen ohne Aderlaß nicht zahlreicher, nach Blutverlust jedoch signifikant häufiger auf als im Kontrollkollektiv. Dieser Effekt des Blutverlustes ließe sich in Anwendung der “Zwei-Stufen-Theorie” als Wirkung körpereigener “Promotoren” deuten.
Summary
Two groups of about 100 Wistar rats each received a total X-irradiation of 270 r. The animals of one group were bled (2 ml) two days before irradiation. A third group remained untreated. In the irradiated groups there was a significant increase of malignant tumors. Benign tumors were greatly increased in female animals in both irradiated groups because of the very frequent involvement of the uterus and breast. The benign tumors in males without blood-loss were no more numerous than in those of the control group. They were significantly increased, however, in the animals that had been bled. In respects to a two stagemechanism, this effect of the blood-loss suggests the action of self promoters of the body.
