Abstract

DURING recent years, numerous experiments have been performed in order to induce mutations in various fungi belonging to the Ascomycetes group. Of special interest are the mutations affecting physiological characters in _Neurospora_1 and _Ophiostoma_2 produced by irradiation, mustard gas or nitrogen mustard. These investigations led me to perform similar experiments with a Basidiomycete, Coprinus fimetarius.
