Spectral Distribution of Infrared Radiation from the Trapezium Region of the Orion Nebula (original) (raw)

Abstract
Radiation at infrared wavelengths from 7 to 14 j~has been detected from the region between the stars of the Trapezium in the Orion Nebula with a field of view of 15". It has been found that the spectral distribution of this radiation resembles closely the spectral distribution of excess radiation observed at these wavelengths from some cool stars. The spectral distribution observed resembles that expected from minerals, such as those in meteoritic material
