Collection description
These datasets are the outputs from two experiments conducted in the Combined Smart Energy Systems (CoSES) laboratory at the Technical University of Munich as part of the PhD of Orestis Angelidis. The experiments aim to experimentally validate novel hydraulic design and control philosophies for 5th Generation District Heating and Cooling Networks. One has fixed grid return temperatures (TGridFix) while the other free floating grid temperatures (TGridFloat). Both feature decentralised variable speed pumping and a centralised passive balancing unit aimed at alleviating control instabilities arising from pump hunting.
