doll_911 - Profile (original) (raw)
Welcome to Doll 911.
This community was designed to be a help network between owners. The goal of Doll 911 is that so people can feel a little safer about posting their photos online.
Anyone can feel free to join and help out. Our goal is to notify any and all owners about stolen or hotlinked photos. Whether it be from forums, image accounts, websites, ebay auctions or books, or any other publication on the internet.
We hope that this community will not need to be used very often but feel that it should have been made long ago. Doll photo theft has been going on for a long time and will continue to go on, and its up to the owners to help stop it!
We've set a few rules so that this community runs smoothly:
1. Anyone is welcome to report the theft. You may report actual photos posted, photobucket accounts you find with stolen photos, websites, ebay auctions, galleries, or any other internet source that has photos. You are also welcome to report any direct links from photo accounts (such as photobuckets) that are linked on the net if you feel the owner might not be aware.
2. ANY type of doll can be reported. BJD, obitsu, dollfie, bythe, pullip, etc. We want to protect all of the dolls, and none will ever be excluded.
3. Doll photos are stolen all the time. We are not here to discuss why they were stolen, just where and to notify the owners. Whether they were to post up over how pretty they were, to criticise them or for use as a reference for something, they were still stolen and it is still wrong.
4. We encourage non-owners of the photos to take no action against any of the places that photos are stolen from. That is up to the owner and the site. We are simply here to notify owners.
5. Just because you do not mind people taking your photos does not mean everyone feels the same way. Problems will not be tolerated, and trolls will be banned. For now, posts will remain unmoderated and we hope they can stay that way.
We encourage all owners to always watermark or tag their photos and link their websites and doll journal to the online fanarts protection ring.
