Dragon Quest IX meetup - followup

| | Now that the schedule grids are out, it's time to see if we can actually nail down a time for the great Dragon Quest IX map-exchanging meet-up! Let's do this thing.So, I'm thinking that trying to avoid parties people want to go to in the late evening is a lost cause. Similarly, afternoon is bad due to tons of panels/quest stuff. So maybe earlier evening would be best. In the previous post, Saturday looked safest in terms of everybody actually being around. I'll kick things off by suggesting 7pm Saturday, then. What does everyone think? Can people make that? It seems like a time when most of the big-name guests have headed off, but parties haven't cranked up yet.As for location, it looks like the Hilton is the best bet. Someone in the last post was offering drinks at the lobby level bar (which I can vouch for being a nice place), plus it turns out Open Gaming is just one level down in the Hilton Lower Level. So if either place is too crowded, we could try the other, and easily send people back and forth to check for stragglers.Again, I'm still open to comments on all of this, but I figured I should get a proposal out sooner than later. Once we nail it down I'll see about making up some fliers. I'm also going to see if I can get a small blurb in the Daily Dragon. And I'm going to send a note to the guy in charge of the Gaming Track, to see if he wants anything to do with us, and whether hanging out in Open Gaming would be a good idea.And finally, I'd especially like input from the person with the Masayuki and Kawasaki Locker maps. I think we'd all be happy giving you veto power over the timing of the event. ;)Oh, one last thing, I have an "It's Party Slime!" DQIX t-shirt... which I may or may not be wearing due to other costuming, but I think I'll at least try to bring it with me to any meet-up for ID purposes.
