* 2006 NHRA Northwest Nationals & "Driving Force" * (original) (raw)

If living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, don't forget that today is the 2006 NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways just South of Seattle. Definitely looking forward to elimination and final rounds later today. The weather has been scorchingly hot all weekend across the northwest, so it'll be pretty interesting to see how all the crew chiefs on each team will be mustering all their tuning knowledge to gain a few extra horsepower here and there.

Anyway, for those out of the loop of tv land... I think tonight is also the debut of the new A&E reality series "Driving Force", which features veteran NHRA Funny Car champion John Force and his three daughters, Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney.
I never cared for "reality" shows since there really isn't anything "real" about it. You only see what the producers want you to see to hype these types of shows up for viewer ratings, blah blah blah. Nevertheless, it's a drag racing show... so, we'll see how good this series will be (crosses fingers). Tune in to watch it, then feel free to leave some comments here on your impression of the show's debut.
