Well I think it's about time to update my journal, so why not bring some community awareness to Rainmeter, the desktop customization tool. As you can see in my desktop the Rainmeter interface can be very minimalistic while still being incredibly functional. You can also make yours a cluttered mess of meters, timers, shortcuts, and much more if thats what you prefer. It can be whatever you want it to be! If you are interested, and wouldn't mind dedicating a couple hours at least to getting it all set up how you like it, then head on over to Rainmeter.net, download and install the application, and read through the Rainmeter 101 to get yourself

Well, as I am sure every single one of my fellow American Deviants know, today was the single-biggest sporting event of the year, the Super Bowl. And as I am sure you are also aware, the Green Bay Packers took the win, which is incredible news. The Steelers go the to Super Bowl far too often, Packers deserved this win. But I also want to say that my personal team, the Detroit Lions beat the Packers in a game earlier this year. Even though Lions are terrible... I happened upon a pretty cool article over at Wired.com the other day, and I wanted to share it. It is a gallery of many different fractals in nature, and while it shows ones you would expect, such as broccoli and ferns, it also has a lot of images of other fractals that you just never thought about before, such as mountains and dry lake beds.
