Hi everyone, my name is Rebecca. I have been off track for about 3 months and in that time I have gained about 10 pounds. :( So I really need to get back on track. My main issues are that I can do ok doing the week most of the time, but then I totally pig out on the weekends "because I have been so good" during the week and I think I eat pretty healthily, just too much and I make excuses for my poor eating, "because I ate well at lunch" or whatever.
I have two goals for the next week:
1. Start planning my food and counting my calories.
2. No binging or massive over eating on the weekends.
To accomplish my first goal I am going to start logging my food in sparkpeople again and to accomplish my second goal, I am going to measure out a portion of whatever "treat" food I am craving and stick to that one portion or just stay away from it if I feel like I can't control myself.
The first thing you need to do is choose a goal and tell us about it. You can share other info about yourself if you feel like it.
For example I might say:
Hi everyone, my name is blah, blah, blah.
My goal(s) for the week is (are) X and Y.
To accomplish my first goal I am going to do X and to accomplish my second goal, I am going to do Y.
Welcome everyone to the Dieting Support: Get-Back-on-Track Challenge!! This challenge will run until there is no longer interest for it.
If you are like me and have been on hiatus from watching what you eat and exercising you really need this challenge, but it is run is a laid-back way, so you don't need to worry about weighing in on a specific day or anything.
The rules are simple -- pick one thing you want to work on (or more if you are ambitious) and make a commitment to really focus on that one thing for one week or more if you find one week isn't enough. Once you feel like you have really gotten a goal under control move on to another one.
There are no teams, the only person you have to compete with is yourself. And people can join and leave the challenge as they please, so if you are on vacation for the week or whatever it isn't a big deal.
