Materials and Methods: Two hundred and sixty seven volunteers have been checked using both traditional Ishihara plates and a computer diagnosis program using LCD monitors. Results: The prevalence of red green color vision deficiency (RG-CVD) was 8.75% of male participants, no female participants were diagnosed, both in the paper based test, and in the computer based test. Computer based test gave 100% sensitivity and 98.78% specificity. Conclusion: Presenting the computer based color deficiency test software on LCD screen can be used for screening of color vision deficiency with nearly similar sensitivity and specificity to the Ishihara test with the advantage reducing the cost through decreasing required resources over time, and decreasing the time to analyze the results.

CBIR system retrieves the image via low-level features such as color, texture and shape. In this work, we propose an improved CBIR system that retrieves images from a database based on the semantic features of them. The methodology that divide image and extracts low-level features from each region and label each one with the suitable concept (Sky, Sand, Water, trunks, foliage, rocks,..., and Grass). The results of the paper reflects the efficiency of the system for retrieving images with up to 98% recognition ratio.

In this thesis, there are three new proposed systems. First,a new system for automatically coloring old movies has been proposed . Second, a new system for compressing color images based on HSV model has been proposed . The third proposed system is a new method for automatically color seeds selection using morphology. I would like to express my appreciation to my supervisor Prof. Mohiy Mohamed Hadhoud for his continuous support and encouragement during the research study of this thesis. , abstract: After the appearance of Image Colorization in the literature and the different developments of colorization techniques, it was necessary to search for new applications for this new field rather than coloring gray images. This thesis is a research and implementation study for various applications that can exploit from colorization techniques. Three proposed colorization applications are proposed in this thesis; Automatic Movie Colorization System, Color Image Encoding System Using HSI Space Embedding System and Color Image Encoding System Using Morphological Decolorization. The first application of image colorization attracts researchers in this field is Old Movies Colorizing. This thesis presents a new proposal for a system that works on coloring the old movies automatically. The proposed system is based on coloring the film shot by shot instead of frames as it is common in this area. This is done by splitting the film into shots and coloring the first frame in the shot (the key frame) . After that the motion vector between the frames of each shot is generated to transfer the colors from the key frame to the following frames in the shot using the motion vector. Color image encoding becomes an

Digital watermarking is considered an efficient solution for multimedia security as it preserves the original media content as it is. For 3D graphical models, 3D fragile watermarking aims to detect any attacks to the models and protect the copyright and the ownership of the models. In this paper, we present a comparative analysis between two substitutive 3D fragile watermarking algorithms. The first algorithm is based on adaptive watermark generation technique using Hamming code, while the other algorithm uses Chaos sequence for 3D models fragile watermarking in the spatial domain. The study uses different assessment measures to show the points of strength and weaknesses of both methods.

The spread of programs that are used to modify and duplicate this data easily leads to increase the necessity to develop a variety of watermark technologies for various protection purposes such as copyrights protection and authentication. In this study, we provide a review study of fragile watermarking techniques for 3D models over the last decade and clarify what are the criteria and requirements for design such systems. We briefly show the different types of 3D models representation and what are the most common kinds of attacks could be applied to them, and finally discuss the challenges encountered at designing such techniques.

Currently, multi-factor authentication is used by enterprises to enhance security by integrating multiple verification methods rather than relying on a single method of authentication, which is considered less secure. Keystroke dynamics is a behavioral characteristic used to evaluate an individual’s typing patterns to verify their legitimacy. This technique is preferred because the acquisition of such data is a simple process that does not require any additional user effort or equipment during the authentication process. This study proposes an optimized convolutional neural network that is designed to extract improved features by utilizing data synthesization and quantile transformation to maximize results. Additionally, an ensemble learning technique is used as the main algorithm for the training and testing phas...

The goal of our research is to implement a powerful automatic coloring system that is suitable for coloring movies with high quality colors and in fast time as possible. Our proposed system based on colorizing the movie shot by shot rather than frame by frame, so that different techniques are presented like shot cut detection, motion estimation, similarity features between images and colorization. By this paper we have succeeded to propose and implement a complete automatic colorization system specified for movies and we nearly achieve our goals.

This paper presents a comparative study of four most reported as high primitive printed Arabic Character Recognition works (Hamdi et al. [1], Marwa et al. [2], Marwa et al. [3] and Andrey et al. [4]). The motivation was the lack of independent comparative study between recent algorithms for researchers to depend on. A new noise-free generated dataset of 7 font types is used for evaluation. The results shown that Marwa et al. [3] algorithm overcomes the others across all dataset tests.

Most literature works consider only one font per text what results in low recognition accuracy. This paper tends to enhance the accuracy of AOCR (Arabic Optical Character Recognition) by considering an automatic Optical Font Recognition (OFR) stage before going ahead with the traditional OCR stages. This has been achieved using SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) descriptors. First, a comparative study of four most recent algorithms of primitive OCR has been performed to evaluate the different features and classifiers utilized in their systems. Accordingly, a combining of statistical features have been proposed as well as selecting Random Forest Tree classifier for classification stage. The combination of the features are used to train the classifiers. As a result, each recognized text font is directed to a specific classifier tree. The proposed system was tested on a generated Primitive Arabic Characters Noise Free dataset (PAC-NF) containing 30000 samples. Experimental results achieved a promising character recognition accuracy of 99.8-100%.
