Kevin Maness

I migrated to media studies after studying English at the BA and MA level and teaching high school English for several years.

Now I'm a media generalist (by necessity and by disposition), teaching comm studies courses including: Intro to Mass Media, Media as a Profession, Art of Film, Intro to Comm Theory, Comm & Technology, Mass Media and Cultural Studies, Media Theory, and Senior Thesis.

Although my dissertation research was on media education and ed reform, my research interests are still forming--I tend to be interested in studying just about everything I hear or read about. Someday I'd like to write a textbook or two and make them freely available on the Web.
