ECOOP 2026 Posters (original) (raw)
Dear ECOOP’26 contributor, After collecting community feedback from authors, organizers, and speakers, we observed a slight preference for moving the conference. However, since the preference was slight, and such a move would prevent key participants (including Chairs and Organizers) from attending and increase already agreed catering costs, we will retain the original dates. That is, ECOOP will take place as originally planned, from 29th June to 3rd July. We will do our best to help participants as much as possible to find suitable accommodation: * We already managed to reserve 35 rooms in the center of Brussels at a rate of 160€ per night. PhD students will be given priority to book one of these rooms (on a first come first serve basis). The remaining rooms will be released to other participants after the early registration deadline. This will be handled via the ECOOP’26 registration form. * The ECOOP keynote speakers and the ECOOP Academy speakers will be offered a room by the organisation. They will be contacted directly. * Do not hesitate to book places that are not directly next to the venue. Brussels has a well-integrated public transport system (metro, tram, bus). In the very worst case, it should be possible to reach the ECOOP’26 venue in less than 1 hour even when booking accommodation on the complete opposite side of the city. The public transport company has a website in English (https://www.stib-mivb.be/home#). * The ECOOP’26 venue is well-connected to the suburbs of Brussels by suburban trains (comparable to RER in Paris and S-Bahn in Berlin) through the Etterbeek train station. Schedules can be found on the website of the Belgian rail company (https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/). *We have compiled a Google map that shows the venue (in yellow), the Brussels metro and tram system (in color) and the suburban train stations that allow one to reach the venue in less than 30 minutes (in grey) (http://bit.ly/4sU54Xq). * The Brussels Capital Region authorities’s mobility app (Floya, https://floya.brussels/) integrates the city’s public transport together with all authorised companies that offer shared bikes, scooters and cars. * We recommend that you keep a close eye on the prices for accommodation on booking platforms. Prices skyrocketed two weeks ago but have somewhat cooled down recently. We are looking forward to welcoming you to a lively, well-attended, productive ECOOP 2026.
