This study conducted a quantitative study with 433 questionnaires (M=208, F=225, Mage=21.6) on the situations of university students' career planning. Correlation analysis, difference analysis and cluster analysis (K-means algorithm and Pam algorithm) were used with SPSS statistics software to understand their status in four indicators-self-understanding, status assessment, career exploration and decision action.

Enhancing Coping Skills for Management Trainees in SMEs: A Training Programme based on Coping Effectiveness Intervention, Jun 1, 2023

However, rare studies have explored psychological interventions for them to enhance their work performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to equip management trainees with systematic stress coping techniques to enhance their self-efficacy in stressful work situations. The study referred Lazarus and Folkman (1984)’s Transactional Theory of Stress and Coping as the theoretical lens, and employed Anshel (1990)’s COPE approach as the intervention routine to design the coping training programme. The programme, namely Coping Effectiveness Training (CET) intervention (n=20), includes intervention timelines, systematic coping repertoire, coping exercises, and follow-up evaluations by eight progressive sessions. The intervention is illustrated based on empirical evidence from literature in neuropsychology and psychophysiology. Significantly, this study contributes to providing both academics and practitioners with a scientific coping training framework to enhance management trainees’ self-efficacy, facilitate them adapting to the new work environment, and improve job performance.

Study design: Orienting with the empirical literature review, this study employs the case study method to incorporate some exclusive transformational leadership techniques into the practical issues of the case.
Findings: This study revisits the literature to demonstrate the positive relationships between the 4I's of transformational leadership and the intermediate outcomes of team performance, and finds some distinctive transformational leadership techniques to cope with the managerial problems of the case company during its business transition.
Originality/value: This study contributes to formulating an original theoretical framework on transformational leadership and team performance, and employing a series of distinctive intervention measures to enhance the team performance of the case company. The practical contributions may be generalized into the wider education service sector.

She perceived that her choking situation might be a result of debilitative anxiety, poor focus, low confidence, and a lack of perceived control. To prevent choking and improve her ability to focus during pre-performance, the author orients with the Cognitive-behavioral Approach, and employs the Cognitive-Behavioral Consultation Model throughout her intervention in different phases. The followup evaluation of the mental skills and the intervention effectiveness such as the Reflective Questioning and CSAI-2R questionnaire are also employed. It is implicated that the pre-performance routine intervention program can be generalized to a wilder scope of populations in sport with similar situations. Future research can consider tracking the player's performance and making relevant refinements for the intervention program.

However, there are rare studies on stress whilst working virtually for education advisors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, understanding stress in the virtual working environment is important to support them to cope. Underpinned by Lazarus and Folkman’s (1984) Transactional Theory of Stress and Coping, a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews was conducted. Following snowball sampling, 12 participants (Male=7, Female=5, Mage=31.74) from the UK and China were interviewed. The six phases of thematic analysis were employed to analyze the data. The study identified the sources of education advisors’ stress from colleagues, clients, families, and personal levels that laid negative consequences on their work and life. A series of problem- and emotion-focused coping strategies, such as boundary management, were raised for them to cope. The findings highlighted the education advisors’ stress experiences and raised practical coping strategies at personal, organizational, and family levels to defend against the stressors whilst working virtually, and contributes to understanding how they dynamically appraise the stressors from a transactional process perspective within the virtual working environment.
