I mean like you can put this shit on and run a marathon or swim 10 laps and your face will still be perfectly painted...I am interested in:foundationseyeliner (liquid or pencil)eyebrow pencil (I draw mine in completely and damnit I want them to stay on after an entire night of debauchery!lipstickwhatever else may come to mind...My second question is for those of you that know hair extensions:How long can I expect these type of extensions to last:http://www.doctoredlocks.com/store/tut_cornrows_crochet.htmlThis will be my first time with this sort of extension and I want to kind of be able to gauge how long it will be before I can do them again... Also if you have ever done these... about how long did they take from start to finish?NOTE! I am crossposting this in both makeup and hair communities so if you are in a hair community and know some makeup shit don't hesitate to share the mighty knowledge. ♥ Monday, July 14th, 2008 5:45 am clubmix1996 So over the last few days I stripped the color out of my hair twice with Jheri Rrdding Color Fix then I bleached it. I started with Blue and Purple hair and now it's this crappy light lavender color. I gave myself a hot oil treatment to help loosen up the color since oil is supposed to fade hair color... And still not much has washed out. It's definitely a light purple but i want it blonde pronto.Should I use a blonde permanent color on top? Do you think it will help fade it at all? And if I do should I use one that has a gold base to combat the purple? I had an ashy color I wanted to use but I am afraid it will just make this purple situation even worse.Any experiences with this?* Please don't comment telling me how much I am damaging my hair. Trust me I know my hair and have screwed it over more than this and lived to tell the tale, it's fine. I am asking for pure color advice here.add me to your myspace if you care to :)www.myspace.com/clubmix1996 ♥ Friday, May 16th, 2008 8:56 pm clubmix1996 Ok I know this is a weird question considering the fact that I have had a HELLA amount of weaves in my day (as a matter of fact I am putting in some hair as we speak errr type), but I was just watching this silly show called Charm School on VH1 and I saw that one of the “students” was talking about a lace weave? Like from what I understand it looks like the weave is sewn on a net thing so you can sew the hair all the way up on the head instead of just sewing it underneath like to you when you connect the hair to braids. How does that work?How long can you wear it?Could I make this lace/net thing myself?Also if anyone has any links about this kind of hair extension, please hook me up! ♥ Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 4:14 am clubmix1996 This might be a dumb question…So I bleached my pre-colored practically black hair to a light blond. But the blond still had quite a bit of yellow in it although if you took a picture of me in black and white it would look white. I.E. It was super light with brassy tones.I tried to cover it with a natural light shade of blond but I should have gotten an ashy shade to counter act the brassy tones. So I ordered Shimmer Lights shampoo and conditioner. You know the stuff with the purple color added to it that’s supposed to kill the yellow/orange in blond hair? I also ordered a light blond permanent hair color that is ashy and is cool toned and lastly I got manic panic’s toner "virgin snow" for blonde hair. I was positive that with these products I would get the light ashy/whitest blond possible… But I am extremely impulsive and while waiting for these products to arrive I colored my hair blue with some punky professional color I had laying around because I just couldn’t deal with being seen with yellow hair and it looks actually really awesome. However, I am going to want to try to get the blond I was originally going for eventually and I was wondering I anyone knew how to get vegetable dye (like punky and manic panic) out of pre-bleached hair WITHOUT having to go through the damaging process of bleaching all over again. I’m getting my fusion extensions redone on Thursday and this time I am going to have blonde and red highlights in them! I’ll look so famous, hahaha. No seriously, I think I have a better idea of how to take care of them now but since I was so rough with them in the beginning I feel like a ton of them have ripped out, however it’s not like I am going bald or anything because the bonds are only attached to small amounts of hair. Also this time I am getting a better detangler so I don’t snag them as much and hopefully they will stay stronger for longer this time. They lasted about three months this last time so hopefully up to about 5 months this next time. I was actually using a highlight crème for brunettes on my new growth and then pulling it through to refresh my old color at the end of the dye job. This last time I used mega Blondes (I think that is what it was called) from sally’s and I got an ash blonde color, however my end result was incredibly yellow. My problem is that I usually use a toning shampoo called shimmer lights but only the bottom half of my hair absorbs the toner because it is more porous that my newer growth. So I have half a head of very light yellow blond (roots-ish) and the other half is a very light almost platinum ash blonde. What kind of toner would you suggest to even out my color without adding anymore color? 4 | ♥ Tuesday, July 12th, 2005 8:49 pm - hair conditioner review and question. clubmix1996 I used the ion treatment from Sally's that everyone has been raving about and in short I have to say that it sucked. If you pay money for that you might as well save a few bucks and get the one-dollar suave conditioner at Wal-Mart. I left it in tem minutes as the package instructed. I rinsed it out and styled my hair as usual, using nothing different and doing nothing different than normal. My hair feels rough, dry and it has no luster/shine. My hair feels thicker and “stronger” but I think that is just a by-product of the hair cuticle being rough and un-smooth. I would not recommend and I will not buy again.As for Pantene Pro-V…I know it doesn’t repair hair it just coats it with a shine product to make it appear healthy, but would it be okay to use a repairing conditioner then a pantene conditioner to coat the hair after it has been repaired? 4 | ♥ Monday, July 4th, 2005 7:46 pm - Q. clubmix1996 What is the best hair straightener (hot iron) that you have ever used???
