Alamy (registered as Alamy Limited) is a privately-owned stock photography agency launched in 1999. Its headquarters are at Milton Park, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, U.K. It has a development and operations centre at Techno park in Trivandrum, Kerala, India and sales offices in Brooklyn, New York, USA, and Germany. Alamy describes itself as the biggest online agency in the world, providing a one stop shop for photographers. In March 2011, the collection stood at 23million, but with 450,000 images added a month it’s anticipated that it will be at least 27million by the end of 2011. Alamy has a global network of suppliers, including 569 international picture agencies and over 25,000 photographers. Content spans cutting edge creative stock, editorial, news, sport and entertainment imagery
