_12:12 am_[ansleystudio] | Josh & Kati's Quirky Little Wedding! Life has a funny way of putting people together. I met Kati back in high school (when she had purple hair!) and I dated Josh a few years back. When I heard they were dating, I thought, "It's so crazy it just might work!"And it does, beautifully. Josh and Kati are one of those couples that can easily make you go 'awww!' and follow it up with "ya'll are gross!"**( In two words: disgustingly cute. Click to see more photos from their elopement in Tallahassee, FL!Collapse )**All photography by Ansley Studio, LLC - AnsleyStudio.com (Comment on this) |

_12:17 pm_[secretbride] | Holly & Josh I've always been a rather secretive person. I like to keep to myself. I guess I'm somewhat of a loner. Except when it comes to my love, Josh.We are going to elope in September. We are trying to save up money. We both work full time and I'm a full time student. We don't make that much money even put together, plus I'm raising my little brother and sister, which isn't cheap. I'm excited though. Some people will think we are crazy around here because we have a rather dramatic past, but we've both grown up alot and we know what is right for us. I'm scared a little but very happy. :-)We are planning on going to a little place in alabama. It's very country and cute.I'm in the process of getting the little details together. And I want to lose some weight.I'm so happy!!! (1 Comment |Comment on this) |

_12:46 pm_[beutfulangel] | Aggravating Well, My fiance and I have been engaged for 3 years now and we have been waiting until I graduate to get married, but Im in a little predicament. This is a very frustrating ordeal. Him and I have talked about getting eloped and that has been all we have talked about because of all the cons of a traditional wedding. It seems every time that I bring up the wedding with my mother she freaks out on me because it is what she wants, but Ive been very nice in explaining that the wedding is her wedding, its Matt(my fiance) and mine. Personally, we tried to plan a traditional for the sake of everyone else, but it isnt about everyone else, its about our love and each other, not them. On top of that, there are many, many, many stresses, to say the least, with a traditional wedding. This is why we decided elopement A.K.A wedding destination. No one seems to care though, what we think and on what we are going to do. It isnt about them though, its about us. I rather spend about $5,000.00 on a "weddingmoon" all inclusive then a whole lot more on money that could go towards a house, lets be realistic here. Its very aggravating. So last night, Matt and I were talking. He thinks he wants us to have a traditional with the family that we care abou there and to, I guess, have witness to us getting married? i dont need validity from everyone else, and we have went over this before...We dont have the money for a traditional wedding, I dont want to be the center of attention(thinking of that makes me want to get sick), I dont want to have to worry about following proper etiquette and offending people I dont see, and a lot more other reasons..It just seems that weddings are now for everyone else and not the bride and groom and this bothers me a lot, its suppose to be OUR day about OUR love for each other, not everyone else...the receptions are suppose to be for everyone else. Has anyone else had problems or thoughts like this? We have gotten married yet and this is driving me nuts.If anyone has encountered thoughts or problems like these, can you give me some opinions or insights please, I dont know who else to talk to. Thanks!Current Mood: aggravated (5 Comments |Comment on this) |

_5:30 pm_[spunkeekitty] | I'm newly married! Hi everyone! My hubby and I just eloped on July 7th! We went to the Pocono's in Pennsylvania. It was totally incredible! Our suite was insane! We stayed at Caesar's Pocono Palace. We had a heart shaped hot tub AND a round swimming pool in our room! Plus a fireplace and a deck overlooking the lake. Everything was included in this trip except the alchohol, well we did receive a lot of "complimentary" bottles of champagne! Bubble-bubble fizz-fizz! If you'd like more info about our special day and to view a few pictures check out my journal...of course it's friends only, so let me know here and I"ll add you! (Comment on this) |

_2:53 pm_[lizziecat] | Hi! I'm eloping in October, in Las Vegas (of course!)I'm trying to decide on a chapel, right now. I'm stuck between Little Chapel of the Flowers, Traditional Wedding package, which is 395.00+minister′sfeeORAlwaysandForeverChapel,MorethanWordspackage,whichis395.00 + minister's fee OR Always and Forever Chapel, More than Words package, which is 395.00+minister′sfeeORAlwaysandForeverChapel,MorethanWordspackage,whichis289.00 +minister's fee. While Little Chapel of the Flowers is prettier, it's also WAY more expensive. I'm leaning towards the Always and Forever chapel, but I can't find any feedback on it. At all. Anyway, what is everyone else doing, if getting married in Vegas? (10 Comments |Comment on this) |

_8:00 pm_[alive49] | Hi! Hey,I ran across this community while searching under the term "Las Vegas" and thought this would be a good community for me to join. My fiance and I are going to Vegas to get married in August. It's not exactly an elopement, but I call it a "modified" one. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is April. Current Mood: tired (12 Comments |Comment on this) |
