Damascus: Syrian army takes control of al-Tanf base, deploys near Jordan border

Ammon News - The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the Syrian Arab Army have begun deploying along the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border in the al-Tanf.

In a statement released Thursday, the ministry said this deployment coincides with the units taking control of the al-Tanf base and securing the base and its surrounding area.

It indicated that border guard forces will begin assuming their duties and deploying in the area in the coming days.
