So Gary Neville has been recalled to the squad. I have mixed feelings on this one. He is one of my all-time favourites, and I'd love to see him playing in one more World Cup. However, he's clearly past his prime, and seldom appears for United anymore. As much as I hate the thought, maybe it's time for the old guys to step aside and pass the torch to a new generation.

Dammit. On the one hand, it's Ukraine. On the other hand, they did make it to the quarter-finals of the last World Cup. I don't know what to expect. Maybe a 0-0 draw.

Despite the injuries, I thought we had a pretty good squad on paper. I thought we'd do better than 2-0. I can't figure out if we've been or underachieving or overachieving.

Wasn't the first half a repeat of the last time we played this team? I mean 0-0 at the end of the half...
I was supposed to be watching this game at a pub here in Baltimore, but because of the hurricane that hit the eastern seaboard, the pub couldn't get reception. Good job an' all. $10 would have been a lot to spend on that drivel...
I know what the score is now at the start of the second half. Wonder if we can put the same amount in as we did last time...
What a crock of dark and smelly...

Jermaine Jenas? Jimmy Bullard? EMILE FUCKING HESKEY!? What is this guy doing? What does Agbonlahor have to do to get a chance? If we beat Croatia, I'll admit Capello's crazy like a fox. But I really don't see how that's possible with this squad...

England 2-0 USA @ 07:35 pm
Seeing as that was one of the few England games I had the privilege of watching, here's my analysis:
-Great game for the defence. David James didn't have to break a sweat. It was great to see Terry score. We need him at his best when World Cup qualifying starts.
-The midfield looked solid. Nice ball movement.
-Steve Gerrard, Gerrard. He'll pass a ball 40 yards. He's better than Frank Lampard. Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.
-I thank Jermaine Defoe for reminding me why he hasn't started since the beginning of McClaren's Reign of Terror.
