Abstract

In this reflective conversation, John Solomos shares with Les Back something of his biographical and intellectual journey, in a career that has profoundly shaped the field of race and ethnic studies as we know it today. His ‘grace and diplomacy’ have earned him the respect of colleagues and critics, and his commitment to inclusivity has shaped a generation of scholars, and in ways that continues to create space for new voices and perspectives today.
