Abstract

A method of model reduction is presented which is based upon a complex curve-fitting technique and is applicable to multi-input multi-output models. This approach involves the minimisation of the weighted sum of squares of differences between the frequency response of the known high-order system and the approximating low-order system. It represents an extension of techniques originally developed for the single-input single-output case.
