A Brief Bogosian Bio
[altered slightly from a Wikipedia bio.]

Eric Bogosian (born April 24, 1953 in Woburn, Massachusetts) is an Armenian-American actor, playwright, monologist, and novelist.

After graduating from Oberlin College, Bogosian moved to New York City to pursue a career in theatre. As a performer, Bogosian has a very distinctive style. His one-man shows are a minimalist blend of dark comedy, geopolitical commentary, and social realism. When performing on stage, Bogosian generally appears as a series of characters, and uses only a microphone and a folding chair as props.

In 1980, Bogosian married Jo Bonney, who frequently directs his shows. The couple have two children.

In addition to his writing and theatre credits, Bogosian has appeared in numerous television shows, such as the short-lived sitcom Love Monkey, along with guest roles on Scrubs and Law & Order. He has also been featured in a wide variety of movies, from Under Siege 2 and Igby Goes Down to Beavis & Butthead Do America and the movie version of his award-winning play, Talk Radio.

In 2006, Bogosian joined the cast of Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Capt. Danny Ross. He is one of numerous Law & Order actors who first played a supporting role, only to return as a major recurring character; Bogosian played "Gary Lowenthal" in two episodes of the original Law & Order.

Some of his plays have recently been revived on and off-Broadway, with an updated version of his 1994 play SubUrbia at Second Stage Theatre and the Broadway premiere of his Pulitzer Prize-nominated 1987 drama Talk Radio, starring Liev Schreiber, in March 2007.
