Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden deneysel yöntemin ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel modeli ile gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2014-2015 Güz Döneminde, Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi Resim İş Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören 38 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada öz düzenlemeli öğrenmenin görsel sanatlar öğretmeni adaylarının akademik başarılarına etkisini kontrol etmek için akademik başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Dersler deney grubunda öz düzenlemeli öğrenme yaklaşımına uygun olarak, kontrol grubuna ise sunuş yoluyla öğrenme yaklaşımına dayalı olarak işlenmiştir. In this study, documents, materials and lesson plans of teacher candidates studying in art teachi... more In this study, documents, materials and lesson plans of teacher candidates studying in art teaching, and activity reports and the data they obtained from their first experiences were tried to be evaluated based on their teaching experience for 14 weeks. It is aimed to take measures in order for teacher candidates to spend the period as efficiently as possible and to get maximum benefit from the teaching practice course by determining how they have spent the period and revealing their opinions and suggestions on this matter. The research was conducted with a group of 4 students from the Art Teaching Program of Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, who took a course of teaching practice in the Spring semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. The study group was chosen by criterion sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods. The data of the research consists of the documents, materials and lesson plans prepared by the visual arts teacher candidates during the semester, activity reports and data obtained from their first teaching experiences, and the answers collected by the semi-structured interview form filled by them after their experience. The research is designed as a case study, one of the qualitative research methods, for being suitable to the characteristics of the study. While the document file, lesson plans, lesson preparatory work and activity reports were assessed with content analysis in terms of their compliance with the data, opinions of the students about the semester and their first teaching experiences were evaluated with descriptive analysis. When the data obtained were evaluated, it was determined that the first experiences of the visual arts teacher candidates in teaching practice were generally efficient and accordingly they carried out their teaching processes in accordance with the purpose of the school practices course. It was observed that their experiences in classroom management and communication with students were efficient and they fulfilled their responsibilities in order to gain professional competencies. It was determined that the teacher candidates completed the teaching practice lesson efficiently and successfully.
