Sobre nosotros
BMAT is a music innovation company with a mission to index all music usage and ownership data. We help all different companies in the music industry better their data operations to make sure artists get paid for their plays. Every day we deliver 27 billion matches and 80 million identifications to CMOs, publishers, record labels, broadcasters and DSPs globally. We're a team of pretty decent people who enjoy working with each other. We’re open-minded and well-travelled, coming from all parts of the world. We like coffee, tea, chai and mate all the same. We’ve got rappers, producers, cello players, DJs, and songwriters. The passion for music, the excitement for technology and Barcelona as a backdrop has proven to make a good combination.

- One year ago, SACEM set us on a quest to rethink how music digital claiming conflicts are resolved. Our answer is ReSol, an online platform designed to streamline and optimise conflict resolution processes. With ReSol, we centralise claiming conflicts and match and enrich key metadata with contextual insights, providing efficient resolution workflows, facilitating collaboration among all parties involved, and propagating resolutions to licensors and licensees to make sure that once solved, a conflict stays down. Currently, ReSol addresses conflicts within Spotify and YouTube, and it plans to integrate additional DSPs soon. If you’d like to know more about it, hit us up.https://lnkd.in/d9dy4Zt6

What happens at SUMMUS stays at SUMMUS. But what we can say is that we successfully wrapped up the ‘24 edition, and it has left us with AI-data-rich ideas, a strong drive for collaboration across neural networks and innovative minds, and excitement for the future rather than a sense of overwhelm. What the future holds, we’ll see. But we know we’re looking at a future that holds us all together. Thank you to everyone who contributed and attended. See you in 2026. Side note: SUMMUS (https://lnkd.in/evZQQfdg) has received funding from the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the European Union (Next Generation EU) within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. -

Summus is a Latin word that describes the greatness of things. For us, SUMMUS is also a summit we throw every 2 years where we come together with those who inspire us—including partners, industry friends and free-spirited thinkers—to celebrate the greatness of music and discuss its future. And this is what the 1st day of its 4th edition looked like. For the 2nd time, we’ve been featured on the LETS (Leading European Tech Scaleups) map, recognised as one of the top 251 startups in Europe. They also mentioned something about us rocking the world—and we like that. @France Digitale via https://lnkd.in/evmrERDe -

Adding a touch of music innovation flair to your feed with a snippet from our latest article, which covers the GAIMEs project on AI-gen engines and systematic interrogation methods, inspiration from text to image, demultiplexing for identifying music catalogues used in AI training, and a few other things. Hopefully, you'll find these AI matters as fascinating as we do—if so, head over to our blog to read the full article. -

On the 1st of August 2024, the EU AI Act, unanimously approved on May 21, 2024, came into effect, delivering the world’s first AI law which clearly calls for the need for AI companies to comply with copyright for ingestion. It establishes transparency obligations on which content has been acquired for training, introducing a degree of extraterritorial effect and sanctions for breach. In the meantime, several technology companies keep releasing and upgrading their Generative AI Music Engines (GAIMEs) with typically little and sometimes contradictory information about which data was used to train the model. In this context, we're working on a set of technologies and recommendations for music catalogues that wish to protect their assets and understand up to what extent their catalogue has been used to train AI engines. Here's what to do when AI crashes into your party: https://lnkd.in/d8_d84qr.

Our fascination with the potential of voice cloning and transformation has spanned nearly 3 decades. In 1997, Yamaha and the Music Technology Group initiated their first collaborative research project. At the same time, Pedro Cano and Alex Loscos were fresh graduates from the UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN. Their initial project with the team named “Elvis,” aimed to transform users’ voices into those of their idols using Yamaha karaoke machines. We hereby present to you the original demo video featuring young Àlex testing Elvis and intentionally singing off-key (he actually has a few musical projects himself) to showcase the voice morphing system's capabilities. You can read more about it in our latest article.
