This is The Arizona Republic's high school baseball rankings after Week 1 of the 2026 season. This is regardless of conference. See how the rankings changed from last week's preseason Top 10. Vote in our poll below for the team you think should be No. 1 this week. The poll will close at 6 p.m. on March 5. Print readers can find the poll online at azcentral.com/sports/high-schools.

The Republic's Top 10 HS baseball teams

1. Casteel Colts, 0-0

The preseason No. 1 was opening their season on March 3 at home against Tolleson, then plays at Sandra Day O'Connor on March 5, and has Brophy Prep at home on March 6.

2. Brophy Prep Broncos, 4-0

They were one of six undefeated teams that played in the Adam Donnenfield Classic, which consisted of pool play.

3. Queen Creek Bulldogs, 4-1

They lost their only game last week to Brophy Prep, 4-1. They outscored their other four opponents, 39-5.

4. Corona del Sol Aztecs, 4-1

The defending 6A champions won four in a row after losing their opener to Chaparral.

5. Sandra Day O'Connor Eagles, 4-1

After losing to Chandler 3-1, they won their next two over Vista Grande and Sunnyside by a combined score of 18-1.

6. Red Mountain Lions, 4-0

After going undefeated at the Donnenfield Classic, they should get challenged this week by Desert Ridge (March 5) and Pinnacle (March 6).

7. Campo Verde Coyotes, 5-0

This 5A team went unbeaten in the Donnefield Classic, including impressive 10-0 and 9-1 wins over Kofa and Lake Havasu in their last two games.

8. Desert Vista Thunder, 5-0

Anthony Renda went 8-for-14 with two home runs at the Donnenfield Classic to lead the Thunder to a 5-0 record.

9. Salpointe Catholic Lancers, 0-0

This 4A team opens its season on March 3-4 with home games against Cienega and Arcadia, respectively.

10. Millennium Tigers, 3-0

Watch out for this 6A team that can hit with anybody in the state.
