Top 10 Softball Players of the Week
1. Tiara Jones, Morenci, Jr.
The first baseman/pitcher had a double and four home runs, including a grand slam, in the Epic tournament. She drove in 13 runs and won three games in the circle.
2. Braylee Harder, Perry, Jr.
The third/first baseman went 3-for-4 with four RBIs against Williams Field. She hit her fifth home run of the season.
3. Claire Achilles, Tanque Verde, Jr.
In a 1-0 win over Crismon, she pitched a no-hitter, striking out 15 and walking two.
4. Kamie Rice, Florence, Sr.
The pitcher went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a triple and four RBIs, and struck out nine in four innings in a 19-4 win.
5. Sarah Guzman, South Mountain, Jr.
The third baseman hit .571 during the Epic tournament with two doubles, two walks and four stolen bases.
6. Camber Jacquez, St. David, Jr.
She went 8-for-13 with eight RBIs on the second day of a Douglas tournament.
7. Anaya Romero, La Joya Community, Sr.
The shortstop went 12-for-13 in a 2-2 week, driving in 14 runs and hitting three triples.
8. MJ Garcia, Empire, Jr.
She had 11 hits, five for extra bases, in 19 at-bats, scored nine runs and drove in 14 runs.
9. Makenzie Latvaaho, Xavier Prep, Jr.
The first baseman helped the Gators go 5-1 on the week. She had six hits against Cibola and three more against Cienega.
10. Abrielle Jarles, Chandler Valley Christian, Sr.
She went 5-for-10 with two home runs, six RBIs and seven runs scored during a 3-2 week playing in a big-school tournament.
