Here are the latest Arizona Republic top 10 high school softball teams, as of March 31, 2026. This is regardless of conference.
The Republic's Top 10 softball teams
1. Queen Creek Bulldogs, 17-0
Led by shortstop Emma Reynolds (.642 batting average, 23 RBIs), they have outscored their last three opponents by a combined score of 41-0.
2. Desert Mountain Wolves, 12-1-1
Pitcher Lilly "Goose" Goodwin is hitting an astounding .686 with four home runs and 25 RBIs. She is 7-0 with 82 strikeouts in 40 innings and a 0.70 ERA in the circle.
3. Xavier Prep Gators, 16-3
They took a step back in a 15-2 loss to Perry last week, but still have a formidable team that can win another 6A championship.
4. Canyon del Oro Dorados, 16-2
They had an impressive 5-1 win over Marana, showing they are still on Desert Mountain's heels in the 5A title race.
5. Marana Tigers, 19-2
They've outscored their opponents 202-37 this year.
6. Basha Bears, 10-3-2
They won four straight before falling to Perry last week.
7. Salpointe Catholic Lancers, 13-4
Their only loss to an Arizona team came against No. 1 Queen Creek, 9-0, on March 18.
8. Perry Pumas, 10-7
They've jumped into the top 10 after splitting with Basha and beating defending 6A champion Xavier Prep.
9. Desert Vista Thunder, 15-2
They went 3-0 last week, outscoring their opponents by a combined 38-0.
10. Mica Mountain Thunderbolts, 17-2
They've overpowered their last six opponents but will have a big mid-April exam with two games against Salpointe.
