BATTLE CREEK — The fans have spoken.
The winner of the latest Bronson Battle Creek/Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Lola Saber of the Marshall girls soccer team.
Fans got behind Saber to help her edge finalists Josh Ilgenfritz, Brendan Daugherty, Mack King. Saber received 69 percent of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to her fans, she is being featured in this Enquirer Athlete of the Week Sunday spotlight.

Saber helped the Marshall girls soccer team clinch the Interstate 8 Conference title after earning a tie with Harper Creek 1-1. Saber scored the lone goal for the Redhawks in the game off pass from Nyla Whittaker. With the result, Marshall finished the league season at 5-0-1 for the outright title.
"Lola has a terrific season for us. She has improved so much from a year ago. She is a better player in every facet of the game. Her work ethic and preparation allow her to impact the game from the first minute of the game until the last. She has the ability to change the game at any point with her skills, her desire and her physical play. She is undoubtedly one of our top players and I'm happy that she's being recognized for her achievements," Marshall girls soccer coach Hans Morgan said.
