Purvis police have arrested a suspect in connection to the Monday afternoon, June 1, shooting death of a woman.
The incident began as a domestic dispute in the parking lot of Hattiesburg Clinic Family Clinic — Purvis, located at 101 Weems Street in Purvis, police said.
The Lamar County Coroner's office confirmed to the Hattiesburg American that the victim was Anna Crochet, a 23-year-old woman from the unincorporated Mississippi community of Sandy Hook.

Police have identified 25-year-old male Kobe Keshad Winsley as a suspect. Following the shooting, police said Winsley fled the scene before eventually turning himself in to law enforcement. He was arrested and booked in Lamar County.
"As of right now he has been charged with murder," Purvis Police Department Assistant Chief Jay Green said. "There will be more charges to come at his initial court appearance."
Winsley's court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2.
Green also confirmed that a young child was involved in the incident. The child did not sustain any injuries.
