FOWLER 6, ST. LOUIS 3

MOUNT PLEASANT — Addison Spicer hit a key two-run triple in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie and later scored on an error to help the Eagles capture a Division 4 regional title with a victory over St. Louis on Saturday, June 6. Spicer finished with three RBIs, while Selena Stump added two hits and two runs for Fowler. Bristol Miller and Saige Miller each added an RBI for the Eagles, who reached the final with a 1-0 semifinal victory over Beal City. Fowler advances to play Bellaire in a quarterfinal at Central Michigan at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9.
HUDSONVILLE UNITY CHRISTIAN 17, PORTLAND 8
HUDSONVILLE — Bella Spitzley and Lilly Thelen each hit a home run and finished with two hits for the Raiders in a Division 2 regional final loss to Hudsonville Unity Christian. Rylee Miller added three RBIs for Portland, which recorded a 14-4 win over Grand Rapids Christian in the semifinal. Unity Christian scored 11 runs in the second inning while taking control in the regional final.
PORTAGE CENTRAL 8, GRAND LEDGE 2
HARTLAND — Amelia Bernard had a double and drove in two runs to lead the Comets in their Division 1 regional semifinal loss. Kailey nelson and Indya Fitzpatrick each had a hit and scored a run for Grand Ledge. Portage Central led 2-1 after the opening inning and added two runs in each of the third and fourth innings.
HEMLOCK 2, LANSING CATHOLIC 0
NEW LOTHROP — Katy Howard finished with two hits for the Cougars in their Division 3 regional semifinal loss to Hemlock. Zoey Gruber allowed just three hits and struck out 12 in the circle for Lansing Catholic. Hemlock scored the lone runs of the game in the top of the fourth inning. Lansing Catholic stranded runners on second and third in the bottom of the seventh.
FRANKENMUTH 9, OWOSSO 5
ESSEXVILLE — Ady Freeman hit a grand slam as part of a five-run seventh inning for the Trojans in their Division 2 regional semifinal loss to Frankenmuth. The Eagles used a five-run fifth inning and added three runs in the sixth to take control in the win over Owosso.
