Watch street style king Adam Sandler do a drip check and reveal his fashion secrets (original) (raw)
This is how we win.
Actor, comedian, and style icon Adam Sandler is revealing his fashion secrets in a new video filmed on the streets of New York.
Introducing himself as "Adam from Brooklyn" in a recent installment of Mystery Fashionist, the Uncut Gems star walks viewers through his latest drip — a navy Fila windbreaker, some "goofy" blue shorts, and mismatched sneakers with his socks pulled up — and explains his laissez-faire approach to getting dressed each morning.
"Whatever is in the closet, I grab it," Sandler says. "I don't think about it much. Most people make fun of me in my family, but I keep moving."

He goes on to list the fashion pieces he can't live without. "Sometimes my wife gets me nice socks that I throw on, got my kids on them and stuff," Sandler says. "Sneakers that fit. It don't matter if they're dirty or not, as long as they're fitting and not hurting. These shorts are a little shorter than usual."
"You like the hoochie daddy shorts?" the Mystery Fashionist asks.
"I don't know what the hell they are," Sandler replies.
The actor has become a viral street style legend in recent years with his casual, carefree looks, which often include oversize shorts and tees in various prints and colors. The tags "#AdamSandlerStyle" and "#AdamSandlerSummer" abound on TikTok, with many dressing like Sandler to pay homage.
Sandler reacted to his style going viral on Jennifer Hudson's talk show last year, admitting, "People talk to me a lot about it lately. I mean, that's just a man who opened a suitcase and threw something on. I don't know. My kids are mad at me because I wear those shirts now. Every day I'm sorry for the way I dress."
Sandler is gearing up for the release of his Netflix comedy special Adam Sandler: Love You (out Tuesday), which reunites him with his Uncut Gems co-director Josh Safdie in the filmmaker's comedy special directorial debut. Filmed at the Nocturne Theatre in Los Angeles, the special promises "songs, jokes, party-crashing dogs, and plenty of love," per a logline.
The latest offering from Sandler's expansive Netflix deal, Love You follows the comedian's 2018 special 100% Fresh and recent films Spaceman, Leo, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. His previous titles with the streamer include Hustle, Murder Mystery, and Hubie Halloween, while upcoming flicks include a sequel to his 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore and an yet-untitled second film with Josh and Benny Safdie.
