Amy Poehler knows that the best ship is friendship.
The Parks and Recreation actress took a moment to wish everyone a happy Galentine's Day in a heartfelt TikTok on Tuesday.
“Female friendships are the most important thing in your life,” Poehler explained as she walked through a snowy New York City. “The best thing about your friends is they know you better than anyone and they still wanna hang out with you. Happy Galentine’s Day.”
In the video's comment section, the company Salt and Branch wrote "ovaries before brovaries," to which Poehler simply replied, "Exactly."
The fictional holiday, which spotlights the importance of female friendships the day before Valentine’s Day, was created by Poehler’s Parks and Rec character Leslie Knope during the beloved sitcom’s second season.
“Every Feb. 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies,” she explained in the episode. “It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

In the years since the series ended in 2015, its cast has often reunited to celebrate Galentine’s Day together. Just last year, Rashida Jones posted an adorable Instagram photo of herself and costars Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, and Kathryn Hahn spending the evening together with the caption, "Happy Galentine's Day."
The close friends have also previously posed for Galentine's Day photos together in 2020, 2019, and 2018.
