'Criminal Minds,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'NCIS,' 'Teen Wolf' spoilers (original) (raw)

Happy Friday, nuggets! (Don’t ask; it just felt right.)

Ready for some more neat infos I gathered while in Los Angeles for TCA? I’ll take your silence as a resounding YES! Thanks as always for your questions. Got as many as I could in this week and everyone else should check back next week! And if you didn’t send any, tisk. Get with it: spoilerroom@ew.com or find me on Twitter: @EWSandraG. (Tonight, most tweets will be Olympics related. Just a warning.)‘CRIMINAL MINDS’: FOUR TEASES FOR THE NEW SEASON

Can’t wait for the premiere of Criminal Minds? I cornered Erica Messer at the wildly fun CBS/CW/Showtime party at TCA recently to get the scoopiest scoop I could get on the upcoming season 8

1. Jeanne Tripplehorn joins the team. You know this. What you may not know? Her rocky history with Strauss (Jayne Atkinson) stemming from a case back in the day in which Strauss let Tripplehorn’s character, Alex Blake, take the blame when things went south. “It’s so heavy,” says Messer. “And she can talk to Strauss like no one else.”

2. Bellamy Young is coming back for at least three episodes. So Beth’s not going anywhere. “We didn’t want to introduce this person who has made him smile and dismiss it because of a contract situation,” she said. “We’ll explain her absence early on. They’ll have a long-distance relationship.”

3. There’s a nod to Prentiss in the premiere when Garcia and Morgan return from visiting her. Aww.

4. Someone from Hotch’s past will likely be returning for an ep. We’ve seen them before. More info soon…

‘HIMYM’: TROUBLE FOR THE GANG?

Here’s the deal: When your friends become parents, things change. Period. We saw this begin last season on How I Met Your Mother. (Remember, “Is this an 8 or higher?”) I’ve gone through it. Some of y’all have probably gone through it. And executive producer Craig Thomas says he’s gone through it. So how will the gang cope with their ever-changing universe? That’s part of the fun coming up in season 8 of HIMYM (pronounced: “him-yim”).

“You’ll see the group deal with that issue [with Marshall and Lily] of ‘I feel like we can’t come to you with our stuff anymore because you have this whole bigger problem of being parents. But I still want to be friends. I still want to bring my stuff to you,'” says Thomas. Other big issues? Lily will start to wrestle with some big questions of her own — like whether or not she wants a career and who can babysit (Robin…?).. “There’s something really nice about seeing this adorable little baby and seeing what I think is TV’s best couple become TV’s best parents,” he adds.

Meanwhile, in case you missed it, earlier this week I teased a Neil Patrick Harris “tour de force” that will find him delving into his deepest fears as he crafts a prenup, I crushed a weird foreign-born rumor about Jason Segel’s future on the show, and rejoiced with the rest of y’all about news that Joe Manganiello is returning for an arc! Read all about it here.

TEEN WOLF: MORE THAN ONE BIG BADDIE FOR SEASON 3?!

Lewis Jacobs/NBC

_Teen Wolf_‘s second season finale is coming up around the corner, and who better to tap for some teases than the show’s stars! So see below for some choice information from Tyler Posey and Linden Ashby, who plays Mr. Stilinski.

+ The new baddie (…or baddies?)

Executive producer Jeff Davis already let the cat out of the bag about introducing a new baddie, but the real scoop? “There might be more than one,” says Ashby. Elsewhere, Tyler Posey teases: “This new threat is scarier, and more evil than those that came before….Scott and Stiles are in danger but they don’t know it yet. It’s the end of the season. The audience knows that the new baddie has shown up but they do not. Not yet.”

+ The death

We know one’s coming. But who is it? They won’t say, of course! But “it’s good,” promises Ashby. “This train that has been barreling down the tracks is coming to the station. I don’t think anyone is going to be disappointed.”

+ A sweet father-son moment?

Stiles and his dad have always had a bit of a contentious relationship (filled with love, mind you), but will the elder Stilinski ever learn the truth about what’s going on in town, like Scott’s mom? Probably not this season, “but there’s some really nice stuff between [Stiles and his dad]” says Ashby. And Ashby also shared some other good news: “I might get my job back!” he says. “And there might be a little bit of romance brewing.”

SIDE DISHES

Hi Sandra. Inquiring minds want to know if you have any upcoming scoops for Tony DiNozzo’s character in season 10 of NCIS. Thanks! — Mel

Well, first we’ll spend some time in the elevator — you know, where Tony and Ziva were trapped after the explosion. Afterward, look for a possible new love for Tony. “I think Tony’s arc continues where we left it [last] season. I think Tony is trying to figure out what he wants from life,” says Glasberg. “We had the E.J. thing, but I think it’s time for Tony to maybe find someone special. We’ll see. He’s doing some thinking.” But is this a person we’ve met before? Or someone new? “Maybe a little bit of both,” he teases. AH!

Anything on Supernatural this season? Or on Sam’s love interest? THANKS!! — Carly

She’s the real deal. Not a fling. Not a pipe dream (sorry, Lisa). Like, a possible lady for a lifetime. “To say that he has met a woman who could stand as the love of his life to this point, would not be an overstatement,” says new EP Jeremy Carver. “It’s a meaningful relationship.”

Hello, Sandra! What can you tease about the first couple of episodes that hasn’t been said before (maybe something about Booth and Brennan)? — Amelia

Erm, stop me if you’ve heard this one: “We can tease one that is if Portlandia did an episode of Bones, we’re doing one. It’s Bones meets Portlandia in a murder-y sort of way,” Stephan Nathan enthused. Excited? I sure as heck was. And then Hart Hanson asked the money question: “Think we can get Fred Armisen?” YOU HAVE TO! << my exact response.

I need #Castle scoop! It’s SO FAR to Sept. 24. Will Martha & Alexis find out about Castle & Beckett’s new relationship in premiere? — @kentuckybelle

Let’s just say there are some things you don’t always want mom to know. And as far as Alexis (Molly Quinn), I’m hearing she’ll be in on the secret. But remember: She’s still interning with Lanie. Here’s hoping Castle Mini knows how to keep her mouth shut!

Can we have some more details about #Castle ‘s premiere?? Or at least some more info about the new season in general? Thanks! =) — @joninha18

I’m hearing the second episode out will have Castle and Beckett diving deep into the world of local broadcast news after a (duh…) murder is committed. The catch? The victim — a weather girl — may have been involved in an inter-office romance. I wonder who might have some thoughts on that subject…?

I’m not picky: Anything on either Person Of Interest or Stefan & Elena from The Vampire Diaries would be appreciated! #SpoilerRoom — @Mus1c

My colleague Nuzhat Naoreen got all the dish on the vampires you could need (for the time being) from executive producer Julie Plec. So make sure you read that here. My favorite teased from the bunch? “What I’m hoping is that Caroline, as an advocate of the Stefan school of how to be a vampire, can be a support system for him that he really needs, especially as things get difficult in Elena’s transition,” says Plec. As much as I love a little Stelena…am I alone in being a teenie tiny bit interested in Scaroline? Yes? Fine, pelt me with your fruit now.

Will Brian Austin Green be back on Happy Endings? — Alicia

He should be back in the first episode — “assuming he does it” creator David Caspe tells us.

VERY important Happy Endings question you didn’t answer last week: Will I get another dose of Mandonna this season?! — Sharon

Adam Pally certainly hopes so! “I loved doing that. I mean getting to pretend to be the lead singer of a rock band is every kid’s dream,” he says. Meanwhile, Damon Wayans Jr. says he’s most excited about the special Thanksgiving episode that the show is planning. “I’m looking forward to seeing whatever guest stars they bring in. I assume family is going to be involved,” he says.

Any Dexter scoop would MAKE MY DAY! — Ann

Deb asks a five-word question at the end of the season premiere that left my jaw on the floor. And Dexter’s answer killed me. Pun intended.

I’d love anything on Franklin & Bash . Finale scoop? Or even a tease for the next time MPG gets naked? — Katie

Take a cold shower, Katie. And when you’re out, check out this: A secret kept by Stanton leads our favorite lawyer duo to reconsider their loyalties in the season finale. Meanwhile, guest star Chris Klein is ever Chris Klein-y in this episode as he takes on the role of a scandal-plagued gubernatorial candidate who also happens to be Peter’s old friend. (Chris Klein-y adj. Highly amusing in a I-sort-of-want-to-punch-you way.)

Any good scoop on next week’s Dallas finale? Any hints on who gets shot? — Chris

I can’t tell you who’s shot because the odds are already 50/50. But here are three teasy bits: 1) John Ross makes a big purchase that seemingly puts family feuds to rest. It doesn’t last. 2) A connection is revealed that will take some by surprise. (Some, not all). 3) There’s a steamy hook-up at the end that will surely piss off some fans.

The Lion King bit from last week’s column made me LOL. Love Josh Bowman! But any other scoop on Revenge? — Jenni

While Bowman thought the Hamptons were looking a little post-Mufasa Pride Rock-ish, Henry Czerny says Conrad’s only feeling one thing at the start of the new season: liberation! “There’s a bit of relief involved,” he says. “He’s renewing himself and the family after Victoria’s passing.”

Thanks for the Scandal scoop last week. Anything on Josh Malina’s character? Now that he’s a regular, can we plan on seeing more of him? — Grace

Per the term “regular,” you’ll indeed see the U.S. Attorney regularly. And he’s as ready to take on Olivia as ever. “They’ll definitely butt heads and they’ll find themselves at opposite ends of a certain situation, but they’ll always look for the ways in which they can sort of connect and maybe help each other in other situations,” Malina tells EW, adding that those who are hoping for a Rosen/Pope romance (and, yes, they’re out there!) might not be out of luck. “I think the potential is there. Whether it will be realized I don’t know. Is it friendship? Is it a little bit more? Unclear. But the potential is there,” he says.

Anything on Homeland? — Doug

Brody’s wife is going to come upon a big secret in the first new episode of the second season. “[It] is a really big moment,” says Morena Baccarin. “[And she starts to wonder] what else is he lying about and how much has he really changed since he was over there?”
