Jennifer Aniston gets doused in oil while filming 'The Morning Show' (original) (raw)
Looks like it's going to be a sticky fourth season for Alex Levy.
Jennifer Aniston gave us an unofficial sneak peek at her season 4 arc on The Morning Show over the weekend. Spoiler alert: It looks messy.
While filming a scene for the new season in New York, the actress was doused in what appeared to be slick black oil. Aniston appeared stunned as the sludge dripped to the floor and spackled the extras surrounding her.
Given that our first glimpse of Aniston in the previous season involved her character, Alex Levy, blasting into low Earth orbit in a rocket ship chartered by an Elon Musk-esque tech mogul (Jon Hamm), this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Ever since Charlotte Stoudt stepped in for Kerry Ehrin as showrunner, The Morning Show has embraced all things scandalous and sensational.

The scene appeared to depict a protest, the target of which might be Levy herself. After the protestors drenched Aniston's character in oil, actors playing police officers rushed in to quell the chaos. Aniston, meanwhile, was left standing and looking gobsmacked with a tarnished top and shoulder bag.
Aniston has been getting political in her personal life too. In a rare personal statement, the Friends star recently spoke out against resurfaced comments made by vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance in 2021 likening single women to "childless cat ladies."
"I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States," Aniston wrote on her Instagram stories.

She continued: "All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too."
Aniston opened up about her struggle with fertility and experience undergoing IVF in a 2022 interview with Allure. "It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road," she said.
The Morning Show has launched Aniston back into a stratosphere that she hadn't comfortably orbited since Friends bowed in 2004. Alex Levy is the series' emotional center, and remains its most compelling character.
It's hard to believe she deserves whatever motivates the oil throw. But you can bet we'll be hearing about it on the following morning's program.
