Marcello Hernández's Domingo arrested by Sabrina Carpenter at concert (original) (raw)

Live from the Kia Forum, it’s Domingo!

Marcello Hernández made an appearance as his viral Saturday Night Live character at Sabrina Carpenter’s Inglewood concert on Nov. 17, where he was promptly fake arrested by the singer for being much too hot. As part of her ongoing Short n’ Sweet tour, Carpenter routinely "arrests" someone in the audience each night before performing her song, “Juno.”

“Sabrina, I’m here!” Hernández can be heard shouting in video footage from the event. He then introduces himself as Domingo from “Miami, baby.” The blue-suited character made waves online last month as part of an SNL sketch that saw a group of bridesmaids reveal — to the tune of Carpenter's hit "Espresso" — that the bride had hooked up with Domingo at her bachelorette party.

“Miami?” Carpenter asked him. “I wish you were from my bedroom. What are you doing later tonight?”

His response? “I’m the cute boy with blue jacket and the thick accent,” he said, a cheeky nod to her song “Bed Chem.”

Carpenter explained that she was getting “so flustered and overwhelmed” from his inherent charm before adding, “Is there anything you want to say before I arrest you, Domingo?”

He, naturally, broke out into a modified version of his SNL speech, singing, “Came all this way / Had to explain / Direct from Domingo / Sabrina’s a friend / She’s like my sis / But I would hook up though.”

Consider Carpenter onboard. "Like, now?" she asked, stripping off her longer skirt to reveal a shorter one. When he agreed, she replied, “Okay!” She then handed him a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs as a parting gift before playing her next song.

Carpenter previously voiced her support for the off-key SNL sketch on her Instagram Story, reportedly raving about how it was “very nice and on pitch.” In response, the episode’s host Ariana Grande re-posted the note to her own Story and added, “tysm we tried.”

In addition to popping up at Carpenter's concert, Domingo also made his return to SNL over the weekend, this time appearing as part of a messy baby shower sketch set to the tune of Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go!"

This isn’t the first time a celebrity has been arrested by Carpenter while out on the road, either. She previously took Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown into custody at her Atlanta concert last month.

“I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before,” Carpenter told Brown at the time. “But stranger things have happened, so.”
