Charlie Hunnam is flexing some royal acting chops in the new King Arthur trailer.

Warner Bros. debuted an alternate preview of the film Monday afternoon, further teasing Jude Law’s villainous portrayal of the tyrannical Vortigern, who contests the titular monarch’s heroic rise to prominence after pulling the famed sword, Excalibur, from the stone.

The studio previously debuted a 3-minute first look trailer for the period epic at last year’s Comic-Con and a teaser in January.

Snatch and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. director Guy Ritchie helmed the film, which also stars Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Annabelle Wallis, Katie McGrath, and Eric Bana. Joby Harold, a writer and producer who’s worked on films like Awake and Edge of Tomorrow in the past, wrote _King Arthur_‘s screenplay with Ritchie and Sherlock Holmes producer Lionel Wigram.

King Arthur hits theaters May 12. Watch the film’s new trailer above.
